-𝕊𝕙𝕦𝕚𝕔𝕙𝕚 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕒 𝕊/𝕆 𝕨𝕙𝕠 𝕛𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕝𝕪 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕤 𝕗𝕦𝕟 𝕠𝕗 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕪𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕓𝕦𝕥 𝕙𝕚𝕞-

You roll your eyes playfully at the short-statured boy in front of you, blocking out all the irritating noise that’s currently coming from his direction.

He’s been following you around since breakfast, slinging around random remarks or insults and trying to get a decent reaction out of you. You, however, are just looking around the building for Shuichi, who you said that you’d meet up with after you’d eaten but didn’t seem to be in his dorm. 

You turn to Kokichi, tired of waiting for him to pack it in and deciding to end his blabbering by force.

“Can it, would ya shorty? For such a small guy, you sure do prattle on about a lot of utter nonsense.” 

He stops abruptly, feigned hurt finding it’s way to his face as he redirects his gaze up at you.

“Oh come onnn S/O, I told you- I’m turning a new leaf! I’m not being annoying anymore..!” 

He looks up at you with deceptively innocent eyes, the white lie immediately being noticed by you. 

“Riiight... and how’s that going for you?” you ask sarcastically, not particularly interested in his answer as you continue walking down the hallway. 

“It’s going great, actually! I-”

“Whaaatt..?” You cut him off, raising your hand to your ear in an overemphasized motion and not even attempting to repress the smirk that forms on your face, “Sorry, I can’t hear you from all the way down there!” 

He gives an exaggerated pout in return, crossing his arms over his chest and letting out a little annoyed huff. 

He opens his mouth to throw back a quick retort, but another voice sounds from the end of the hallway before he can get out more than his first word.

“... S/O?” You recognize the voice as Shuichi’s, immediately turning around to face him, glad that you’ve finally found him and also that Kokichi might finally leave you be. 

“Ah, Shuichi! Just the man I was looking for..! Looking great as always, I see!” You reply as you make your way over to him, Kokichi in tow much to your dismay, “How’s it going? Was breakfast alright?”

He casts a quick, confused glance to Kokichi before turning back to look at you, playing with his fingers as he forms an answer in his head. 

“Erm, yeah, I’m fine- and breakfast was alright too, thank you for asking.” He responds, flashing you what may have been a small and slightly shaky smile, but you were delighted to see it anyway.  

“There it is..! You definitely have the best smile here, you know that Shuichi?”

“You... really think that..?” He mutters, earning a slight nod from you as he tilts his head away so that his hair covers his eyes- a habit he’s still trying to break after discarding his hat, “Well ah, thank you...”

“Aww, Shuichi, don’t go getting all flustered- you just got complemented by a bully, you know..?” Kokichi muses, moving his hands behind his head and donning one of the many smirks that always seem to spread across his face.

Shuichi looks down at the shorter boy, giving him a small warning glance before rejoining the conversation, placing his hand over his mouth like he’d just remembered something.  

“... Oh- do you still want to hang out for a while..? I have to meet with Kaito in a couple of hours, but I’m free up until then.” 

You nod your head in response, sending him a small smile of your own- of course you were gonna hang out with him! After all, you’d been hunting for him throughout the school for that purpose anyway, hadn’t you? 

“... Huh? Saihara’s really going to hang out with S/O after she’s been sooo mean to little old me all morning..?” Kokichi once again joins in on the conversation, leading you to let out a small sigh- he really doesn’t give up, does he?

You just turn your attention back to Shuichi, not planning on giving Kokichi the reaction that he wants. 

“Shuichi, did you hear something..?” You ask the boy infront of you, glancing around the hall at any object that’s above Kokichi’s height for effect, pretending that you don’t see him stood right next to you.  

“No..? Well, must’ve been my imagination.” You don’t even give him a chance to reply as you finish your sentence, letting a little smirk settle on your face at Oma’s dissatisfied expression.
