the one context for arrow's arrival is : johnny's route has to have been completed, but not eddie and volt's route. if eddie/volt route was done first, arrow wouldn't show up~

so! arrow is a musician - a professional one. he is known pretty far out, as his deck has been traveling all over the globe with different owners. he was originally from taiwan and was brought to mainland china, so his first language is chinese! however, he's learned the language of whatever country he was being used in.

only when he arrived in the states did he start making music, and makes them based on specific cards in the deck. his latest album is fully based on the major arcana! [his voice claim is the band arrows in action, and this is the list of each song! [yes you've read two things of my music deal with it /silly]

arrow has a vocal claim of the band arrows in action! all of the songs i hc his album he writes post relationship with eddie/volt are all arrows in action songs, and they are themed around the major arcana. the list has all the songs and which tarot card they relate to, and the orientation/meaning of the card itself!

[ also if you don't know tarot, a quick google of the major arcana gives you the gist, and if it says reversed, check for a reversed meaning! ]

he released this album just before coming to the house, to which johnny was a fan of! so him suddenly showing up at the house was pretty fun. arrow instantly agreed to help johnny train vocally, and wanted to do a duet at the breaker box. but since he wasn't that great yet, arrow just decided to go solo and talk to volt.

arrow pretty much *does* the eddie/volt route. he is the one to help eddie fix the club and keep them both alive! he values trust quite a bit [ his last ex betrayed his trust, so the lying to volt and volt being kinda shifty made him on edge quite a bit ]

because of that, he actually established his relationship with eddie first, although after some conversations he shortly got with volt as well.

appearance time!

arrow's tattoo change. whenever he's just existing, they are usually just traditional tattoos minus two of them - his shoulder will always show a rendition of the world [the actual card, the globe, abstract view of plants, etc] and his chest has a moth. when he is performing, the world tattoo changes to whatever card the song is related to, and his other tattoos often switch then as well. his tattoos are over his entire body, from backs of his hands, his neck, his legs and his back. however, he has no face tattoos, just a lip piercing and an eyebrow piercing on the opposite side.

his clothes resemble the black mat his cards are laid out on when someone is reading through his deck, with a sinched collar on his neck similar to the bag of his cards. usually he wears it on his belt loop, as you never know when the moment arises to read, but when he is performing he keeps them in the homeowner's house.

one fun thing about arrow - he can leave the house! he's able to jump between his tarot cards similar to how lyric can appear at any of the books in the house, however, if he has one on his person he can travel around. he usually takes the death card with him, but sometimes owners notice and give him away since he appears to be 'missing' cards. this is why he's able to perform at stages, bars and concerts [other houses/stores/apartments] all the time!

arrow also has haphephobia! he has gotten over it with his hands, but he hates being touched in other forms. when he is just his object form, he is pretty fine. however, his actual person hates being touched without permission, and even then he is very hesitant when he doesn't know the person that well. people take his hand quite a bit to show him around, so he has become more desensitized to it, but anywhere else, especially around his neck and waist really triggers him and sends him into a panic, potentially triggering an actual panic attack.

Arrow is a lot like Volt: loves the stage, the spotlight and attention. He’s flirtatious, although he never really means it. He doesn’t like to be questioned on his mental health or anything in relation to his personal life by people he doesn’t really know though, usually he tries to talk his way out of anything appearing wrong. With certain people after hanging out with them long enough, he might crack a bit, but he never really brings up the scope of it with anyone besides Nightmare, Beverly when he is so drunk there is no filter, or Eddie and Volt, and even though they are together, Volt usually has to pull it out of him. TW for mental health, phobias and the like: Arrow has been through a lot. He has abandonment issues, and feels like if he doesn’t put out music, he might fade into irrelevance. He’s also very touch adverse when first meeting people due to him being mistreated by a few past humans, touched with sticky hands, shuffled roughly and bent, so he doesn’t tend to get close to individuals. He has panic attacks at night pretty frequently, and wakes up from his nightmares to talk to Nightmare herself, or someone else if he is sleeping next to them. He hates crying, and tries to seclude himself and get away from anyone who sees him in this vulnerable state, instead trying to play it off with jokes and insist he’s fine, sometimes lashing out to push people away further. He HATES being touched during or after a panic attack apart from someone petting his hair. He has to initiate it, or else he becomes more panicked and starts hyperventilating more. He also can calm down by doing a reading for someone else, as it lets him focus on the cards, so people who disregard his tarot still and invalidate his feelings make him so upset, he will never speak to that person again.

People who take time to get to know him for real, press him but also know when to let go and let him breathe and are willing to understand tarot, his whole existence even if they don’t believe in it can achieve a love ending with him.

People who either just interact with his positive performer side and disregard any glaring issues, or see past it but toss his tarot and spirituality to the side and don’t care about them will get a friendship ending.

People who are just douchebags, or see him at his worst and say he shouldn’t feel this way as well as disregard his tarot will achieve a hate ending.

Loves

Eddie: Arrow fell for Eddie first. He has a thing for stand-offish guys, but he really appreciates how he shows his affection more quietly and with actions rather than words, since most people usually just pay him lip service first. It’s really refreshing.

Volt: Arrow likes Volt just as much as Eddie, it just took longer for him to come around since he was a lot like other fleeting relationships he’s had. But after so long and both of them sort of realizing they cared about each other a lot, Arrow came to terms that he likes both of them.

Friends

Johnny: Johnny is a fan of Arrow, and Arrow was a bit apprehensive at first because of that. He’s never gotten really close to someone who knew who he was right away, but Johnny had come to get better after his [spoilers] ||failed American Maestro audition||. He ended up helping him get a little less tone deaf, and the two bonded over other things as well. Johnny was the first [followed by Eddie and Volt] apart from Nightmare to learn about his tarot deck and what the cards mean, so when his tattoo shifts, he knows how he is feeling from a glance.

Beverly: Arrow loves drinking. He has a pretty high tolerance, but he also just enjoys her boisterous nature. He sometimes is the test dummy to any new drinks she comes up with, and she and Johnny become his test dummies to new lyrics when he comes up with songs. Whenever Arrow isn’t performing, he’s with Beverly watching Johnny perform.

Kopi: Arrow is a frequent customer at Roofbucks. He has to write songs pretty frequently since his albums are very long compared to most, and he crafts them based on feelings of cards. Usually he’s there at night after hanging out at The Breaker Box, and Nightmare occasionally joins them for comfortable, calm chat.

Mateo: Mateo and him spend nights together on occasion. Arrow ADORES the inanimals, and hanging out with Mateo is always just a fun experience. They don’t really talk about what’s bothering both of them, but Arrow finds comfort in his soft demeanor, and the playful nature of his shelter.

Nightmare: Nightmare and him are similar to him and Doug, but Nightmare at least helps him process the horrifying dreams he has. She scares him a few times a week, but knows probably the most about him and all the things he fears, and knows sometimes he just needs someone to talk to, and will chat with him throughout the night, or let him just cry on her shoulder. Sometimes they meet up with Kopi during late nights for more coffee too.

Hates

Lux: Lux just peeves Arrow. He prefers ambient lighting when he’s doing his own readings, and Lux never is considerate of that. He isn’t too sure if Lux dislikes him, but he doesn’t go out of his way to hang out with them. Besides, Eddie and Volt are the only source of light he needs.

Doug: Doug and him go way back. Due to him being an object where humans interact with their own emotions, and him being a rather emotional person under the surface. However, he never enjoys talking to Doug, since despite being a negative experience for the most part, he’s just kind of a dick.

there is honestly SO much lore i want to share but this is probably the longest thing i've written in a hot minute and its just for a silly oc for a silly dating sim so imma leave it here! but thank you for asking bee anon, i adore him so much!!!
