Her full name is Pattycake Sidera and she is a sweetie pie. The Banded Dune Snail is endangered and native to the west coast of the USA. She is a California Snirl.

I don't have a definite backstory for her, but I think her ancestors came into contact with a meteor that turns snails into snail people. Patty is several generations after that. To get her body plan, I looked at a pictura of the bottom of a snail and basically cut it in places that would make the foot divide into limbs. This means that if she laid on her belly, she could still move like a normal snail! Just a really big one lol.

She loves milk.

She still doesn't have bones, so she basically needs to flex constantly in order to stay upright (especially with the shell), but this is easier for her because of her hereditary cosmic mutations. In order to wear shirts, they have to have an opening all the way up the back in order to fit the part of her that is connected to her shell.

Her shirt looks sort of like a UFO tractor beam which is fun :3 Patty is an Alien Truther, and she's positive that whatever space thing made her has made other things too, and she gets kind of conspiracy-theory-y about aliens. She went to the Area 51 Raid.

Her spacey starlight powers are mostly passive, but she can also use them at will to create and manipulate little lights in the air. Sidera is Latin for (roughly) starlight.

The reference pose for the colored drawing was the first one in This Post by @albanenechi, and it was so so helpful trying to figure out how to do Patty's flat front while still figuring out volumes for everything else.
