#mochi rambles

I take a quick break from editing and write a oneshot for PTM! I feel like Jade deserves some proper love I have in fact been torturing that poor thing in the fic so far. So! I would like to offer a vote for what type of PTM oneshot you'd all like!

Like the original post talked about champagne because it's from the province of Champagne in France, same for brie cheese. But like France as a country doesn't exist as we know it, but the Shaftlands is a mismatch of Western and Central Europe so like is champagne a thing in TWST but under a different name? Same for Tequila, named after the city it's required to be produced in in Mexico, and Oaxaca cheese named after the state. Also Cojita cheese is also from a city in Mexico!

Like French Fries are called that in the Americas because the technique used to make them was first described in a magazine as "French Fried Potatoes". And I feel like I've read a line in the game that refers to them as french fries but I could be imagining it. That actually goes for so many foods that are just "French" blank.

Baked Alaska! Philly cheesesteak! Chicago-style pizza! HAWAIIAN PIZZA!

This is a non issue it just came up as I was writing a request and now I'm thinking about it and I'm curious what yall think or if you can remember instances where someone refers to a food from a place by name because I'm trying to think of any but I'm blanking rn.
