So I met my dad a number of years ago after him never being in my life (not his fault as far as I know). He has a number of other kids around 6-8 not sure. He never spoke to me about them nor to them about me (as far as I knew). If I didn't make an effort to contact my dad he would never reach out. Now one of his other kids (my half brother I guess) has added me on Facebook. It took a couple days for me to accept because I wasn't sure how I felt about the whole situation. I have known for a while that one of my dad's other kids has the exact same first name as me. How am I supposed to feel about that? Anger? Sadness? Hurt? Emotions are complicated and I know that nobody ever reads these things but I guess I'm venting because I don't have anyone to talk to.
