Name || Caspian ‘Cas’ Einar
Age || Immortal (looks twenty-ish)
Gender + pronouns || Cisgender man + he/him
Ethnicity || Mixed (japanese + filipino)
Religion || Agnostic. He just doesn't care for religion all that much. The concept of a higher power dictating everything freaks him out. His apathy can sometimes come off as disrespect (especially in spats with Rowan), but he doesn’t go out of his way to be hateful towards religious people.
Alignment || True neutral
Likes || Adrenaline, pranks, Rowan
Dislikes || Gods, fate, destiny, dragons (they scare him don’t tell rowan tho), responsibility, himself
Cas has deep olive skin and wavy dark hair that falls just to the back of his neck, with gray hairs because even though he’s young the man is STRESSED. Two large scars arc across his face--one from his eyebrow to chin, the other from the corner of his jaw up the opposite way towards his eye. They form a giant ‘X’ across his face. The eye that the scar drags past is all milky and damaged, and usually hangs half closed. He can’t see very well out of it, but he isn’t entirely blind. The side of his lips/cheek that the scar cuts through is mangled and open, to the point where you can see his teeth through his cheek (he’ll sometimes eat or drink through that hole to mess with people, he thinks it's so funny).
Outfits || Cas wears the scratchy gray jumpsuit that served as the prison uniform, under a stolen trenchcoat much too big for him. He almost always wears a tattered red cloth, a preserved scrap of his royal cape, around his neck.
Cas has always been a free spirit. He thrives off of adventure and adrenaline, and hates the idea of being tethered down to a specific place or thing. He struggles with things he doesn’t understand, but he means well… most of the time. He's confident, cocky, and enjoys the thrill of a good joke.
After his time as a prisoner, he’s much more reserved, but still holds on to traces of his old attitude. It’s just… harder to see. He’s very weary of most things, and can sometimes come off as disrespectful.
Caspian Einar was born the only son to the Venari-Somn royal family, and therefore next in line to inherit the crown from his father. He lived a good childhood, spending his days exploring the inner kingdom and playing pranks on royal officials.
When Cas was seventeen, the royal family took a trip through Venari-Phene to meet with some officials from the other kingdom for some kind of political meeting. Due to a storm, they were forced to stop, stranded in a small village. Rowan’s village. During the few days they were stopped there, Caspian and Rowan became close friends in no time.
The night before the royals were supposed to continue their journey, though, Cas was taken. His memories of the hundred years he spent as a prisoner are hazy, and he can’t quite pick out specifics. He was kidnapped, thrown into some kind of cell, and essentially tortured for the next hundred years, kept alive and unaged through magic.
