Ehhh. I mean, itās... just sort of there? I never really saw the point inĀ āthe G1 cartoon universe but sort of not.ā Itās like an idea thatās all about non-commitment on the face of it. No, itās just taking another short break between arcs like it did the last two times. Most people probably didnāt notice the intended break between #8 and #9 because so many of IDWās book are running late that the belated arrival of #8 closed the gap.
Hello Chris. Thank you for all your's work on Tfwiki. I really appreciate what you're doing. I got a question. According to the Idw history Primes are normal Transformers. I get this, but then how Micronus created Microverse? And what about Shockwave ores? I get that Shockwave wasn't to share the information with anybody, but the remains that remained on Metroplex were taken by Starscream? Were any mention of them After first Windblade Miniseries?
Well, though they were normal Transformers, the Primes didĀ evidently have access to artifacts of incredible power - witness Nexusās Enigma of Combination. Perhaps the full story of Micronus and the Microverse will be told in theĀ āPower of the Primesā tie-in, or somewhere else, but Iād wager right now he used the borrowed power of some such artifact or power source to create it.
I hadnāt thought about Starscreamās pursuit of the ores in ages! I feel like the story of the ores isĀ ādoneā after Dark Cybertron, Iād just assume Starscreamās attempts to get them out of Metroplexās filtration system didnāt work.
How big a chance is that Rung is Primus, Unicron or Vector Prime?

How hard is to resurrect a Transformer? I get difference between series but there's got some multiversal rules? Like in G1 Optimus was just rebuild, but in Beast Wars the was really some effort into it. And Heart of Darkness ressurected many Transformers.
In G1 - both comic and cartoon - you could restore a Transformer to life just by rebuilding their damaged body, even after the introduction of the Matrix. Check out one of the very earliest examples of Transformer death and resurrection, from issue #3 of the Marvel comic:
Not that it was always this easy, of course; only the advanced skills of a Quintesson could bring Optimus Prime back to life in the cartoon, while in the comic, Ratchet had a real tough time of it repairing the many Autobots who were offlined by the cosmically-empowered Starscream:
It ultimately took the use of highly-advanced Pretender technology to repair a few of them, and infusions of the rare and powerful Nucleon to restore the rest.
It was with the introduction of sparks in Beast Wars, and their continued use in media after that, that resurrecting a Transformer has usually come to require someĀ āmysticalā intervention, to one extent or another. This generally makes it a bit tougher to resurrect someone, as it usually requires that aĀ ābot actually voyage into the afterlife and essentially āguideā the spark of the deceased back to the material world - as Rhinox did for Optimus Primal in Beast Wars, the Mini-Cons did for Optimus Prime in Armada, Sam Witwicky did for Optimus Prime in Revenge of the Fallen, Alpha Trion did for Ultra Magnus in the Transformers LegendsĀ manga, or Scarlett did for Optimus Prime in G.I. Joe vs Transformers:
That usually - but not always - requires access to some kind of sacred implement like the Matrix or Vector Sigma, which canāt be used by just anybody; and in the cases where these items donāt come into play, itās usually some even more complicated and arcane way of doing things (like Rhinoxās use of a fortuitous transwarp explosion, or Scarlett using the brainwave scanner to induce transcendental mania.) The resurrections you mention inĀ āHeart of Darknessā were done through the power of the titular object, so they were reallyĀ āundeadā rather than alive again. It was only thanks to an energy surge from Vector Sigma/the Matrix that Cyclonus was fully restored to life.

Is there any comic, short story or whatever that follows on the ending for Rebirth from G1?
There is! TheĀ āWings Universeā series of stories published by Fun Publications continues the events of the cartoon pastĀ āThe Rebirth.ā The post-toon stories began in the BotCon 2010 comicĀ āGeneration 2: Reduxā:
ā¦and continue on into the 2012 Transformers Collectors Club magazine comicĀ āA Flash Forwardāā¦
ā¦before reaching a two-part conclusion in the BotCon 2013 comicĀ āTerminationāĀ and Ā 2014 online comicĀ āA Common Foe.ā
Taken together, these stories essentially brought the āGeneration 1ā³ era of the cartoon to an end, time-skipping a few years over the last few years of the US G1 toyline and telling stories set in the eras of the European G1 toyline, then Generation 2, and finally Machine Wars, concluding with the end of the war and setup for the Beast Wars era.

Is there any chance of ,,Crisis" Like event in IDW Transformers Comics? Like one giant crossover for EVERY main incarnation of the franchise (not every obviously but main like G1,Beast Wars,Robots In Disguise 2001,Unicron Trilogy,Animated,Prime), If so, are there like some wish list, because for me it would be Beast Machines Megatron spark landing in some another universe and taking over, and knowing that there are some other Universes, he plans to take over, Now Vector Prime has to do something
Well, never say never, but it doesnāt seem too likely given how positively massive the Transformers multiverse has become since IDW started out. But, fun fact, a multiverse-spanning crossover was the original proposal Simon Furman made for the IDW TF Universe way back at the very beginning, with the apparent intention of it being a continuation of the Dreamwave G1 and Unicron Trilogy comics. In the (Armada/Energon) Cybertron timelineā¦
ā¦UNICRON IS DESTROYED, utterly wiped out of existence by a seismic shock warhead detonated deep within its superstructure (events which would be visited retroactively in any subsequent āEnergonā conclusion issues).
But as one threat to Cybertron ends, another has only just begun. A rift in time and space ā a massive āchronalā black hole formed by the annihilation of Unicron ā is threatening to suck Cybertron in, tear it apart in an internal maelstrom of deconstructed space and time. Only by anchoring the planet, via a spacebridge, to Earthās energon core can Cybertron maintain its tenuous position, but itās at best a quick fix. To seal the rift, they need the power of PRIMUS, the progenitor of the entire TRANSFORMERS race. But while a fragment of the dormant Primus lifeforce exists within Cybertron, the rest is lost, scattered throughout the universe, buried deep within strange, alien worlds.
Roused (from eons of chronal stasis in a dimension outside of normal space and time) by the impending cataclysm, the immortal sentinel known as Vector Prime spearheads the search for the Primus lifeforce, guiding Optimus Prime and his Autobots on a quest that will take them to aliens worlds in the farthest corners of the galaxy and beyond. But where Prime and the Autobots goā¦ Megatron and the Decepticons are never far behind.
Clad in the armor of Unicron, fuelled by a fragment of his Spark, Megatron has become a true agent of chaos. Heās prepared to sacrifice Cybertron, Earth and any other world in order to contain and absorb the lifeforce of Primus himself, his ultimate aim to transform himselfā¦ into a living god!
And the āCybertronā timeline is not the only one to feel the effects of the destruction of Unicron. In factā¦ itās one of the lucky ones.

In the G1 timelineā¦
ā¦CYBERTRON IS DESTROYED! The resident Autobots and Decepticons barely have time to evacuate the planet, to eject the core of the planet and itās precious Vector Sigma cargo (an eventuality made feasible way back when [in The War Within v3]) before the planet is torn apart, smashed into component molecules by the roiling chaos wave. Many Cybertronians donāt make it at all, and are simply wiped out. In a shockingly short time, Cybertron is gone. Forever.
Shocked, stunned, bereft of their homeworld, the remaining populous finds itself spread far and wide throughout the galaxy, seeking (in the Autobotsā case) safe harbor or (in the Decepticonsā case) new worlds to conquerā¦ and colonise. Megatronās Decepticons have perfecting āmechaformingā technology, invasive, self-replicating machinery designed to restructure the entire geological substructure of a planet, in effect turn it into a new Cybertron. And since the Decepticons are indifferent to the presence or fate of any indigenous civilizations on the planet(s) of choice, itās down to the Autobots to stop themā¦ at any cost.
Earth, always a pivotal world in the G1 timeline, becomes even more of a focal battleground. Its natural resources are a potent brew that ā with the right exploitation and manipulation ā can be turned into energon, the lifeblood of the Transformer race. In Decepticon hands the whole world would be turned into a vast refinery, bled dry to fuel the creation of the ānewā Cybertron.
And Optimus Prime has an even more pressing concern. Contacted by Vector Prime (who can move within all remaining TF timelines), he is warned that the omniversal geometry is critically out of alignment. The removal of ā for want of a better word ā āevilā has disturbed an age-old natural balance. Though it goes against every Autobot credo, they must somehow resurrect the dark force known, among other things, as Unicron! The key is the so-called āDecepticon Matrixā, a quasi-mythical power source spread throughout the galaxy. Said to be fragments of Unicron itself, released in some apocalyptic confrontation with Primus before the dawn of time, its retrieval and coalescence could restore the balance and dissipate the chaos wave.
Reluctantly, with grave reservations (and considerable dissent in the Autobot ranks) Prime forges an uneasy alliance with two of Unicronās heralds, Cylonus and Scourge, both of whom are dedicated to the rebirth of their master (for different reasons). But, unknown to Prime, they have a secondary agenda, a plan to use a fragment of the Decepticon Matrix to destroy Megatronā¦ and recreate him as the unstoppable force known as Galvatron!

CYBERTRON #0 (AND ONGOING)/G1 #0 (AND ONGOING)
Amidst the larger framework of the āchaos waveā saga, the ongoing thrust of Cybertron is a focused series of one or two-part (largely self-contained, featuring different character assortments) adventures set on Cybertron, Earth and the key planets (Speed, Beast and Giant) that support its core questā¦ the search for the lifeforce of Primus. At every turn, the Autobots are confounded and frustrated by the Decepticons, but in the process forge new alliances and friendships, both on Earth and beyond. Itās a race against timeā¦ with the fate of Cybertron (and more) hanging in the balance.
The G1 title expands the scope and reach of the line, exploring wider character/conflict story arcs (while pulling in much more fan-friendly past and future continuity) and dramatically shaking the whole TRANSFORMERS mythos to its core, streamlining and redefining the sometimes confusing mass of āalternateā timelines. But as with Cybertron, the focus will shift to different groups of Autobots/Decepticons on different worlds, faced with differing agendas and challenges.
The issue #0s will be mirror-images of each other, both told from the perspective of Vector Prime as he awakens to an omniverse in chaos, threatened on all fronts. His narrative will serve to encapsulate what has gone before while his actions introduce the primary cast and lay the groundwork for what is to come.
