❛ You wanna just make out a little bit? Just to see how it feels? ❜
forgotten meme but i wanted to hurt love you
“ mick ----- ” they probably shouldn’t of done this. no, ian shouldn’t of even considered it. being friends with mickey just wasn’t in the cards. not when neither of them had any concept of what that friendship entailed. from the very beginning there was passion. so much so it far past any kind of friendship or rivalry. they were destined to be lovers or enemies. & once their lips met that decision was made. to think otherwise would be a damn mistake.
no matter how calm the air between them got to be, & no matter how the tension lifted, when they got this close ----- the spark could reignite in the blink of an eye. all it takes is that look, when mickey’s losing himself in ian’s visuals. or that lingering touch, when ian questions if he should pull away or hold on for dear life. one simple act of affection would set their hearts aflame & ignite their relationship again. & maybe ian would give into it, too. he’d admit he wanted to if he wasn’t so afraid. he’d likely do it despite all of the reasons not to.
there’s simply nothing in the world that can fire ian up the way mickey does. no matter what happens he still has that same effect he always did. it was redound for taking over ian’s brain & making him reconsider the world. maybe that was because it all changed when mickey entered it. with & without mickey milkovich. those were totally different universes. & despite what he’d tell himself, or what others have previously advised ----- he'd always prefer mickey’s.
so maybe that’s why the shouldn’t always becomes should, & the redheads uncertainty melds into desperation. in the blink of an eye, everything changes. JUST TO SEE HOW IT FEELS. sounds fair, if he thinks about it. how could they be certain that their friendship could last unless they got out the tension of their past ? along with that comes the anxiety that if they can’t be just friends, should they be nothing at all ? for better or for worse, at this point it’s too late for the warning signs to set in. ian’s far past caution, because mickey’s giving him that look, & ian’s fingers have lingered many moments too long.
without another unnecessary word, cutting off all contemplation, lips collide so quickly it burns. ian’s grip tightens on mickey’s arm, reassuring this was a good idea before snaking up to the back of his neck. if either of them wanted to pull away, change their minds for good, they had the opportunity before ian’s fingers met mickey’s hairline. of course they both knew at that point, they wouldn’t be able to go back.
their relationship was a pheonix, always seconds away from resurrecting again. & when they held each other like that ----- they were free.
