Getting used to Liu Kangs new looks, difficulty speaking and The way he can now fish Lao from across The room with those chain hooks he refuses to take off was a bit of a curve to get used to.

But they made it work, it is still Liu Kang they know and love after all and he'd always have place in The Shaolin, White Lotus society and on Laos side.

Poor Lao looks like he thinks he's about to die 😥

Its fear that grips him so.

Its The pain he feels from loosing The most important person in his Life so suddenly only to now face this thing that looks so much like him, one that was so determined to get near him.

He thought he'd never get to hear Liu Kangs Voice, to feel his touch or his warmth.

But this thing cant Be him, it sounds wrong and far too cold.

Yet despite being only a head Tilt away from tearing his throat open, it refuses to Hurt him.

Instead it seems to care for him with The familiar tenderness of his best friend.

Can't Raiden heal him?

Theres bit of a problem when it comes to Raiden healing Zombie Liu Kangs deadness.

Two problems in fact.

One, its unclear If Raiden would Be able to bring him Back to Life.

After shoving away The offending hat (causing damage to his hands in The process), Liu Kang proceeded to move closer to Kung Lao who was frozen stiff against The wall.

Shock, pain and grief holding him in place, Lao could do nothing but allow his undead best friend to wrap his arms around him.

To hug him.

Sort of yes and no.

Zombie Liu Kang knows that something Bad happened to him and that hes no exactly how he used to Be, his head just isnt putting things together.
