When it comes to vocal shunning and shocking verses of brutal timbre Phil Bozeman is a personal favourite of mine, his ability to control his voice has never ceased to amaze and even after 15+ years of Whitechapel (the band he fronts) He still discovers new ways to amaze.

When I perform my vocals I try my hardest to infuse his style into my style for his Low gargling fry techniques that sound like a brick being dragged across pavement by a rope or bubbles flowing down a drain. He was one of the main forces of front man to get me into vocal performance and my favourite vocal moment is on the first album “the somatic defilement” the song “devirgination studies”. If you listen to an isolated track, it’s just inhuman, sinister and shocking. Even someone who hates the genre and style of music can appreciate his talent to sound like gravel.

Another vocalist which inspired me in many ways, of hope and of volume, is Mitch Lucker of suicide silence. His personality is what paved the way for such a unique vocal performance and band performance. The energy that he exhibits alone is enough to make you fall in love with deathcore and his band. His violently piercing high vocals are a favourite of mine. His consistency is shocking as he takes on this difficult task of remaining at such an energy and he fucking pulls it off! Hes an inspiration to me im many ways of life and of music. RIP Mitch lucker, to me, you are still alive, as your music is harboured in the hearts of many, so are you.
