Catching up... My coffee cup pretty much sums up my week! We put our sweet Maggie girl down one week ago, yet, it seems like forever since she left us. 😢 During this week, David traveled to Bay City to attend a meeting at the plant and got to our house there, only to find the A/C out, some of our wood floors buckled and mildewed. The house was 88° when he got there Sunday so he stayed in a hotel, got that taken care of Monday morning. My bestie, @cindy.dobbe came to stay with me due to the broken kneecap surgery situation and we ended up going shopping on Monday, yes with a walker and brace on... Overdid it and my leg and ankle swelled up, but hey, we did find some great stuff. Hubs came back Tuesday, took us out to dinner for some yummy catfish. Cindy left Wednesday. She was such a HUGE help. I am missing her so much now and can't wait for her next visit!! I love her like a sister!! This week, I washed ALL of Maggie's rugs. I had a trail of rugs for her throughout our house so she wouldn't slip down on our wood floors. They are all clean and folded and my house looks different without them. I've stayed busy washing bedding and curtains and organizing things. Had plumbers here on Wednesday and again Thursday to fix a commode and adjust some faucets. Oh by the way, the plumber said not to flush "flushable wipes" and do not put cleaning tabs in your tank because it corrodes your tank parts over time. #lessonslearned Housekeepers were here Thursday, too. It has been a crazy busy week and I cried myself to sleep every single night! This year I will celebrate a milestone birthday. This will be the first birthday in 36 years that my #Bestie won't be here with me.💔 We joked about the extravagant things we'd do for our big day (our bdays are a month & 1/2 apart), but hers was as extravagant as they come...complete with her own reward and #crown. I want this year to be meaningful, full of love, laughter, memories (old and create new ones).
