You know, sometimes people just don't stay dead. Martin had taken some bullets, very well deserved bullets I may add. And he now had even more scars on his stupid lanky body. However, he was home, and his plants were still alive. And he found that odd, he had been gone for sometime after all they all should be dead. But then Lara came round the corner and Brenner gave a faint chuckle. With cane in hand he gives a few steps forward to meet her, and she comes into his arms easily. Having her lean up to kiss him welcome home was sweet and he leaned down to greet her back.

There was hesitation in what he was to do; It wasn't something he wanted to voice. Though, he would have to do so to the best of his capacity. "Why does it matter if I find you attractive; What does that do for you?" Anubis asks, knowing it was a question not to be answered. "Validation is a human custom; You shouldn't be worried about such things."

Billy smirked faintly, taking one last drag off the cigarette between his lips before dropping it to the ground and crushing it beneath his boot. “Oh yeah?” he asked, angling his body so he was facing the woman before him. They were at some party, thrown by some random person Billy didn’t really know. Not that he was there to make friends; he was there to drink and maybe get lucky. He’d do almost anything to make the inner demons in his heart and mind stop for just a little while. Whatever distractions he could find.  

“I’m not exactly the guy you take home to meet your mother,” he warned. “If you’re looking for some white knight then your barking up the wrong tree.”
