Farmers in the villages of Mirzapur and Pana Maharana, located in Haryana's Hisar district, have received significant relief from a long-standing waterlogging problem that had plagued the area for years. According to the villagers, for nearly 30 years, approximately 6,000 acres of agricultural land remained affected by water, resulting in crop destruction and plunging farmers into an economic crisis.

Villagers state that efforts to find a solution were made at various levels over a long period, yet no permanent relief could be achieved. Subsequently, under the 'Annapurna Mission Phase-2: Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan' (Save Farmers and Laborers Campaign), thousands of feet of pipelines and high-powered motors were provided to the villages, enabling the successful drainage of water from the waterlogged areas.

According to the villagers:

✅ Land that had remained under the grip of waterlogging for years has once again become arable.

✅ The sowing of crops has resumed on thousands of acres of land.

✅ Farmers and laborer families have found relief.

✅ Employment opportunities and agricultural activities in the villages have gained fresh momentum.

✅ Greenery has begun to return to the fields once again.

Farmers remark that fields which once remained submerged under 4 to 10 feet of water are today lush with swaying wheat crops. According to the village elders and farmers, this transformation marks a new beginning and brings with it a renewed sense of hope.

The positive outcomes of the relief operations in Mirzapur and Pana Maharana are now clearly visible, and the villagers regard this as a pivotal change for their region.
