the beauty of Wolf 359 is that it says "everyone deserves a second chance". the tragedy of Wolf 359 is that it also says "but not everyone gets that chance".

Who do you think the scariest character you've ever written is?
Miranda Pryce.

Miranda Pryce
Every single time I relisten to the show, I walk out feeling more upset about Dr Pryce's fate. The choice was situationally justified by the big picture, meaning that it was the only way to ensure she wouldn't wipe out humanity, but this doesn't change the fact that her blood is on Hera and Eiffel's hands, just as Maxwell's was on Minkowski's. Is there a threshold past which everything the show has previously held about choice and responsibility ceases to apply to you? Dr Pryce's loss of autonomy compensates Hera for her own, but who compensates Dr Pryce? Who pays for this murder, and the one after that? Who gets to decide when you are inhuman enough that you cannot be allowed to continue to exist as you are? We know where that road leads.

I look into my eyeholes and what do I see?
The double casting in Wolf 359 drives me insane it's so good.
You're telling me the same actor plays the experiment and the experimentor, the old hat and the ingenue, the hardened cruel knife and the passionate humanitarian.
And you're telling me they do it twice.

Once the glass was cleaned up, Miranda and the Commander went downstairs, to the kitchen. Miranda was trying to drink a glass of milk, but her injured hands made it difficult.
She didn't want to talk, but she knew she likely didn't have a choice.
