For our kickoff event, the Bus Project team worked with a fun and lively group of children today in Cary, NC on the baseball field. Through Miracle League of the Triangle, children with special needs are able to participate in baseball games designed to develop interpersonal skills and to promote a happier and healthier lifestyle. For three games, we paired up with kids to cheer for on the playing field and to spend quality bonding time together in the dugout. Every player made a home run and received a trophy for their hard work. This experience exposed us to the kind of service work we will be doing this summer, and it was a great way to begin our journey. Needless to say, we are excited and ready for May 25th already. Only two more days!
