why are we still making "Miquellester" jokes in 2026?
it was unfunny when SOTE dropped and it's still unfunny.
By the River 🦋
Before Radahn was great, before he held back the stars or defied his fate or sought a battle with his siblings; before the shattering and before the glory- Radahn was kind.
This impacted dear Miquella so very much. He had seen such vile, ugly treacherous things, after all. He vaguely remembered a brother he, now realized, hadn't seen in millennia; he remembered the arguments between his parents, he was aware of half-siblings he cared little for. He had seen Malenia wilt away like a flower in fall and the way the Rot ate her body. He had seen anger and cruelty and apathy and grief in the reflection of every root on his family tree. But it was Radahn who was merely, simply, beautifully kind.
Radahn had a laugh that could shake the heavens and focused with an intensity Miquella could only dream of emulating. Radahn knew who he was and seemed sure of his path. He tended to the stables with a quiet, knowing smile and a peace in his eyes Miquella had yet to see anywhere else. He was not cruel to his soldiers, he honored them. Sure, Radahn could be stubborn and bloodthirsty; but never did the god forget he was, at first, kind. Miquella hoped to be like him one day. And on the days Malenia could not move from her bed for the pain was too great, it was not their father who helped her, but Radahn. And on the days Miquella wept at his reflection because it showed his eternal stasis, it was Radahn who reminded him that the body was merely a vessel, and did not truly represent your capability. That Miquella was more than his curse, and mirrors had a rather bad habit of lying. That last fact had made the boy smile, wiping away his tears with the back of his hand.
When the world descended into chaos and his siblings lost sight of who they were, Miquella remembered. He held onto the idea of a Malenia who was still whole, and a Radahn who was still kind. He would carry that kindness Radahn had shouldered, and the strength Malenia harbored, and use it to ascend to godhood and take away their suffering.
The twins and their stupid frowns and babyfat cheeks.

Promised Consort Radahn/Radahn, Consort of Miquella doesn't have the circlet above his head that signifies Miquella-the-God's heart-stealing charm. Miquella the Kind/Unalloyed's charm was invisible, yes, but that was ended once the Great Rune was shattered.
So...just...pointing that out to the ones who say Miquella charmed/brainwashed/mind-controlled him...it doesn't look like it.
The aura color change? We don't get it while charmed.
We have to compare us, the only one who is able to be charmed at this point, to Radahn, the allegedly charmed. What happens to us doesn't happen to Radahn, and vice versa.
Remember: Miquella's kindness and goal of a gentler world was inspiring to many all over The Lands Between, without a charm. He also was charismatic with dedicated followers before he had his Great Rune.
Radahn wanted an Age of Compassion.
Thinking once again about how Miquella's boss fight was such a wasted opportunity. It being mostly Radahn 2.0 is lame sauce and they should've done something different.
Miquella should've been at the intersection of the Maiden Astraea's and Rennala's boss fights, or just more of a faith caster version of Rennala's boss fight if you won't give me the pacifist Miquella that exists in my heart.
He should be throwing incantations on a level not seen by anyone else. Rejection, Law of Causality, Wrath of Gold, any of it. Elden Ring is the game where everyone is in some way related to divinity and has resistance to holy, make him the king of holy damage.
Or at the very least, take the idea of the Gideon boss fight; him getting more moves and abilities the more members of his family the Tarnished has vanquished. Maybe he summons phantoms for single attacks; Malenia doing her waterfowl dance, Morgott calling down his incanted spears, Godrick rolling around like a boulder, etc. Maybe the worst one he can pull out is the fragmented remnants of Godwyn's soul he was able to piece together, who does a grab that can give you a build up of Death Blight.
I want so badly for him to interact at all with base game. I want to hear the hitch in his voice when he summons his beloved Blade, untainted from Scarlet Rot. I want to hear the edge in his voice when he calls down Mohg, but none of his attacks have a trace of the Formless Mother. For him to be surprised that Melina, if she's burned in the Forge, is able to be brought down. Maybe he could even call upon his mother and father.
I want him to be surprised that Ranni is not within his power to weave as a spirit ash. Bring that full circle.
Most of all, I want him to hate the Tarnished. I want him to have cruel words to spit at them when he is left defenseless, when all he can do is lay on his back as his dream slips away and he has only one final person to blame for why it did.
"You killed them all and came for me, didn't you? Fine. I have no means to defy you any longer, Lord of the Old Order. A thousand curses upon you and the Order you bring."
i havent been taking many pics this convention but just know that i am in fact miquella irl
