Biography.

Minu’s mother did terrible things. At least, that’s what everybody said. What exactly did she do? Even Minu himself isn’t entirely sure. Everybody he’s ever asked has told him a different series of events. In such a small town, it was all too easy for rumours and tall tales to turn into some twisted urban legend

Minu was born in a prison cell on a rainy day in early October. Busybodies crowded the Sheriff’s office the day he was removed from his mother. A few commented on how something so evil could have given birth to something so small and peaceful. Others warned it was only a matter of time before he grew up and showed his true colours. 

Nobody was willing to foster Minu. The infamy of his mother’s crimes made him too much of a liability in such a small town, where gossip spread like wildfire. He was placed into a group home, where the staff did their best to avoid him, and the other children would bully him over rumours they’d hear from the townsfolk. 

Minu grew up a solitary and quiet child. Someone who questioned things internally, but rarely voiced opinions.

Aging out of the care system, he quickly came to realise just how much the horror stories surrounding his mother were going to impact his life. Still treating him like a ticking time-bomb, nobody was willing to employ Minu, and so, he simply couldn’t afford to stay. Not wanting to be subject to more rumours, he told nobody he was leaving, and did so in the middle of the night. 

The next several years were spent moving between neighbouring towns. He’d stay somewhere until people began to recognise him, then he’d move further away and start all over again. Needing to keep himself clothed and fed, he taught himself the basics of scrapping and wiring, selling disused copper and repairing simple electronics he’d find along the way.

After scrabbling together enough money to afford a long haul bus ticket, Minu set his sights on the West Coast, which felt about as far away from home as he could physically put himself without flying. Arriving in Aurora Bay, he began squatting in a vacant lot in Ocean Crest Apartments.

Wanted Connections.

I Know You. Is your character super into True Crime? I mean, like, really into it to the point we should all be a bit concerned? Then, they've likely heard of Minu's mother's case. How your character responds to having that knowledge in regards to interacting with Minu will be based on your character's personality, but, I'd love to have 1 or maybe 2 people in town who know who he is, just to continue the cycle.

I See You. Does your character work somewhere food related? Maybe a cafe or a bakery? Then, they've probably seen Minu helping himself to any leftovers at the end of the day. Really easy way for them to get to meet, they can take pity on him, or shoo him away, or even come up with some kind of trade agreement. No real limit to how many people can go for this connection - probably the more the better for ol' Minu.

I Hear You. There's gotta be someone out there who can relate to Minu, in some way, shape or form. Does your character have experiences Minu could relate to? Picture late nights, deep conversations, just being there for each other, because they get it.

I Found You. Minu's a mess, lets face it. He needs patched up and a bit of a deep clean. Is your character the caring, mother-hen type? If so, I have a sad grumpy man who really needs some TLC, even if he'll never admit how much he wants it.
