~the day before~

"Please noona" Minhyuk begged, practically on his knees "if you go Jooheon will go, please?" You sighed as he had started pouting, him and Kyunie had come to you asking to join them for some Halloween fun after work the next day. You had fun watching some horror movies with them the last few days to celebrate spooky season and agreed to go.

Little did you know it was actually a well known attraction that had the most horrifying themes, each worse then the year before.

As you stood waiting to enter, Jooheon clung to your arm and quietly cursed Minhyuk and Kyunie for dragging him along.

"Look Joo, its gonna be fine.." trying to soothe him "I'll be right next to you the whole time, okay?"

He nodded in reply but gave the chuckling Minhyuk and Changkyun death glares, meanwhile your boyfriend Shownu stood silently at your other side watching each group enter before yours. He knew you didn't mind scary things but he also knew that you could hide your fear in order to help someone else.

Inside the house you tried to point out certian staged things so Jooheon wouldn't almost rip your arm off at each jump scare. The granny knitting in the living room with decapitated heads in her yarn basket was your first experience of just how uncomfortable and frightened the little honeybee was. Each room progressively got worse with the kitchen looking like a scene from Sweeny Todd with the massive amounts of fake blood painted and splashed everywhere.

Having held it together all through the house, everyone took a breather on the back deck taking in the crisp night air before heading off to the next portion the attraction.

"Why did you talk me into this!"Jooheon whined "I'm gonna have nightmares for a week now!"

"It wasn't so bad." Kyunie chuckled, leading the way again.

"I don't know...." Min started as he brought up the rear of the group "that last room was pretty gross..."

The group walked in silence as you made your way through the thicket of woods that made up the backyard, the leaves rustling in the slight breeze casting eerie shadows that made you hug yourself unconsciously. Soon Changkyun was no longer in sight and Jooheon clung to your arm again.

"Noona?" His voice trembled, "I dont see Minhyuk or Shownu behind us..."

At his statement you fought the urge to bolt towards the exit, you didnt mind the darkness but the thought of what could be hiding in it terrified you.

"We just got separated, if we keep heading this way we'll make it out soon." Patting his hand you lead the way in the direction the attendant at the start had told you to go after finishing the house. Minutes passed as the woods became denser and both of you became more tense, nothing had happened and there where no decorations or people stationed along the narrow pathway. Suddenly loud rustling came from your left just a few feet away causing you to stop and Jooheon to grip your arm tighter.

"Whats that!?" Harshly whispered near your ear.

Letting out your breath and guiding him along again "I dont know..."

Slowly you both moved on, keeping an eye on the direction of the first rustling until other spots up ahead began to make more noises but this time appcompined by low, throaty gurgles. Quickening the pace, you and Jooheon hurried past the sounds only to be met by a decent herd of Zombies, grossly distorted and staring at both of you.

"Run..." grabbing his hand you sprint and dodge through the crowd and towards safety while trying to avoid outstretched hands of the closer Zombies as the woods gave way to the clearing where the parking lot was. And standing by the exit gate was Changkyun, Minhyuk and Shownu. The first two bent over laughing as Jooheon keep going, running right past the attendent and straight to the car.

The ride home was interesting to say the least as Minhyuk and Changkyun explained that they had planned the disappearing act the week before when they had come to the attraction, which only frustrated Jooheon and made Shownu swear he had nothing to do with it. Discussion of the haunted house and everyones favourite, or least favourite parts, continued as they stopped for dinner and dropped you and Shownu off at your apartment.

"Hey... are you okay?" Shownu asked as he hung his jacket on the hook by the door.

"Mhm.." nodding, you head to the kitchen to fix some tea before you both turn in for the night.

"I didn't know about their plan, honest." His tone was sincere as you looked at him before filling two cups with the hot water.

"I know, don't worry about it." Handing him his cup you both head to the couch to relax and enjoy the tea.

~3:20~

The air was thick and you couldn't move as the grunts and gurgling grew closer. You scream but nothing comes out as hot breath touches your neck, finally able to move you thrash and hit something but it reaches out and tries grabbing you. The coolness of a wall touching your back brings you to reality and your dimly lite bedroom, as your chest heaves you glance around and see Shownu standing at the foot of the bed with an extremely worried expression on his face.

"Y/n?" He quietly asks, stepping forward "baby, its me.." covering your face you lean into the wall even more and sob, you had hit him thinking he was the thing from you nightmare. "hey~ shh... its okay." His arms envelop you in his warmth as he gently rubs your back.

"I'm sorry I hit you..."

"Shh... I'm alright, let me look at you," moving back he searches your face and wipes away the tears with his thumbs "...lets go watch a movie, hm?"

After nodding in reply he leads the way to the couch and settles you down before retreating to the kitchen for some junk food and drinks and then to the bedroom for the comforter from the bed. Nestling down he pulls you into his side as you press play on the movie to fall asleep to with him.
