Oh Martenstar had kits *young.* What does he think of Snakefang leaving?
Martenstar wanted kits because it's the "leaderly" thing to do. Flowerface became his mate because she wanted to be the RiverClan first lady. He genuinely does not see his kittens as people. Partially because he had then so young (Around 16 moons or so) but mostly because he believes they are objects for him to use to look better. That's why every leader takes a mate and has kittens, right? To look good.
He was furious when Snakepaw left, but more in the way a child would be mad about losing a favorite toy. he'd lost one of his own children to these traitors, so he looks weak.
Minkpaw was Roughwater's apprentice. Both of them were super excited to be paired together, Roughwater gaining her first apprentice and Minkpaw getting to finally train, only for them to absolutely hate each other. I had a little save of RiverClan I played as a non-canon game, and Roughwater murdered her own apprentice. I think that's canon.
