Ok, so I've been slowly getting into taking care of flowers and right now I have around... maybe 9 different plants? Naturally, since I was learning and I'm still learning, some of them didn't make it, which I'm sad about, but thanks to that now I can take better care of the other plants, so...
Anyway, so I got 2 miniature roses from the neighborhood Lidl, a white and a pink one. What I didn't notice at the time was that both were infected with spider mites D:
Fortunately I identified the problem fairly early on (thanks to the buds that would yellow and fall to the ground, even though the plant looked healthy enough), but I barely know anything about using different chemicals / sprays against vermin. I've only used one against fungus gnats, that luckily ended up being quite useful.
I tried different things, at one point I even manually cleaned the leaves with a make up brush and soap water. I was starting to lose hope (as I wasn't sure if I was doing things correctly, if I'm not overdoing it with the spraying and if the plant is having enough "progress") and yesterday I noticed a bud was opening O:
I didn't want to get too exited, as many would yellow and die the next day, but surprise, surprise - today it opened!
The white rose is the most infected (and my favorite of the two D:), so I doubt it will bloom anytime soon, but it seems to have a lot of new, soft, light green leaves, so I think it's doing OK?
