Rung was Kup's first ever friend . They both met while working at a factory in Tesarus during the Nova Prime . At the time , Rung was saving up to afford medical school , so he kinda lived frugally . Kup usually bought him lunch during those times since Kup wasn't really saving up for anything and just wanted to become a soldier one day .
After Rung left for medical school and Kup got into the military , they both still kept in contact but couldn't talk much due to being busy with their jobs . After Rung got his licence , he visited Kup and they kinda started dating from there . Froid became their third wheeler at some point
Kup and Rung officially became conjunx endura after Kup retired from active service ❤️🩹
Kup is one of the few bots who can remember Rung's name
During the Nominus Prime era where Rung's alt mode kept being tested on by the functionist council , Rung got quite traumatized from it and Kup was the only mech there who listened to his problems. Because of this , Rung is really really insecure about his alt mode and only feels comfortable transforming in front of Kup .
They both adopted and raised Ostaros after the Mesothulas lab incident and was the one who gave him the name Springer . Rung always wanted to raise a sparkling ever since he became conjunxed , but due to the war , it was too risky . When Prowl offered Rung to adopt Springer along with paid time off work , he just went why not . Springer had a phase where he got glasses to look like Rung and probably got picked on by Impactor because of it 😭
