Acknowledge the diet of mind
Now it may sound weird to if I talk about diet of mind. In simple words what I mean to say is know what you are feeding to your mind. This includes everything, the content you watch on social media apps, thoughts you share with your friends, web-series/movies/serials and whatever you watch, hear and discuss. You may disagree with me at some points, but I'll make it with examples.
Now remember the last time you hear a song and your mood suddenly changed. It was surely due to that mood of the song. You must have felt happy, sad when you were watching a web-series or any serial. And the emotions generated were because either the episode was as you expected or unexpected. And now the question may arise in your mind that those emotions were temporary and later on you were normal again. But trust me, all of that content leave impressions on your mind which gets stored in your subconscious mind.
Mind is just like our stomach. You cannot eat fast food daily. If you will, it would surely have detrimental effects on your health. Your health will suffer ultimately. No doubt junk food also gives energy to body but quality of food should also be good. And its pretty okay to to hang out with friends at times and eat from outside. Now I am not labelling any kind of content as good or bad, it depends upon your perception. I just wanna make you aware about difference in content and its impact on our mind.
I am not saying that you must give up watching all the content, all I want to state here is that you must always be aware of inner state. Many a times, people relate themselves to characters they see and adopt the personality traits of that character, which is why you must always look for positive content. Now positive content can be in form of books, affirmations, pages on Instagram, films and number of videos available on YouTube and other apps.
Now watching positive videos, listening podcasts doesn't mean that life would turn out into bed roses. Problems were there earlier, are there and would be there till you die. Whatever is meant to happen will happen. Whether you like it or not. Fate is known by God alone. But with a positive mindset or aware mind, things become clear. Acceptance becomes easy and you focus on controllable.
As mind is all about thought process, we must feed it with good thoughts because our course of action depends majorly on our thought process. It is due to this fact that sometimes we feel so good and vibrant just by meeting a person because he/she radiate that kind of vibes. However, vibes are subject to change but, by feeding our mind with good thoughts, we retain those vibes and radiate positivity. With positivity I didn't mean you suppress emotions. One must retaliate if it feels necessary. Positivity will bring patience to your mind and this way you won't be reactive to everything.
