ok brief milthm review so i can go play it without posting every 5 seconds:

super fucking fun. it plays like a mix between phigros and rizline while also feeling very different? it has unique mechanics re: hold notes so the charting is still unique and challenging. not many songs yet of course but the songs it does have are good. you can customise the gameplay before you even do the tutorial which i love. customisation include different hit sounds, note speed, note SIZE, early/late marker, and the ability to skip blank intros when you play a song multiple times (THANK GOD).

early late indicators get a special segment bc this is my favourite concept. instead of saying early/late or changing the colour of the tap its displayed at the TOP of the screen. very easy to see without being distracting. the further left it appears, the earlier you are, and it moves to the right for lates. wish the ap/fc indicator was easier to read but i dont mind that much tbh

AND IT HAS PLOT im only halfway through the plogue stories but its really interesting so far. the plot in other rhythm games gets really harf to follow but its very easy to find and understand in milthm.

no save data though :( they do say its possible to make a backup with outside tools but obviously cant link them and there isnt much coverage for thr game in english that i could find. pretty much the only downside to consider, but phigros is the same

Honestly I should stop complaining about PJSK to be hard when I play Phigros and Milthm

PJSK can be so predictable its so nice somtimes, I do love the gimmick charts, but yk Milthm and Phigros just kinda whatever the fuck they want. Milthm doesnt even have flick notes and its weird when it comes to drizzle notes but its still hard as fuck all the judgment circles can be at different heights and the notes could be going in any direction O^O
