I can't believe it took me so long to reply to this ahh 😭

I am afraid I can't spoil anything about the Howling Nights or the Winter Woods lore yet, but I do have good news: I'll be on vacation for the next couple of days, which means we might be looking at a Monday update! You'll be introduced to some new characters that will definitely answer some of your questions (and if I have done my job properly create some more hehe 😂)

I can't believe it took me so long to reply to this ask, life has just been... *sighs*

I think for sure the warm fairies will lose it when the winter fairies make their feelings on Clarion known. We've already seen hints of it. Fawn hesitantly saying what Queen Clarion did to them, regardless of intention, was cruel. The others protesting. Tinkerbell feeling conflicted. People respond to confusing situations in different ways. It hurts realizing the person you admired all your life did something so wrong. Even those that don't know the full story realize deep down it's not as black and white as they thought and that's always a lot to handle, even without throwing in a political minefield.

I don't know if the royal positions have ever been outright challenged, but we do know for sure at least some people thought Elvina was too strict and unyielding. We know that Winter citizens didn't enjoy the rule of Warden Bevan for multiple reasons. I can't imagine Pixie Hollow ever rioting or something like that, but some fairies definitely noticed more "behind-the-scenes" stuff going on than others.

I think their treatment of the courts doesn't vary that much actually. People trust their monarchs to keep them safe, which is why everything that went down in Secret of the Wings is bound to ruffle some feathers. Other than that, there are similarities between how Clarion is treated in the warm seasons and how Selena is treated in Winter (both popular and beloved in a socially acceptable way) while the more "hardened" Milori and Everlaya inspire more awe than friendliness. I also think warm fairies treat the Ministers the same way winter fairies treat Dewey, they turn to them for guidance and answers.

Milori's love language, as we all know, is acts of service. So you best believe he storms into Clarion's chambers with THE BEST homemade broths and winter specialties and just... ignores the guards and stays there.

Milori goes scarily nonverbal when he is worried. Like, he just keeps watch over her with dark, intense eyes that have gone navy blue. You think he is usually a sparrowman of few words? Think again. Quiet Milori is like the moment before thunder strikes. You can feel the tension and the concern radiating off him. You can sense him holding it back until it bursts.

Clarion, on the other hand, is the type to absolutely make inedible soup, bless her heart, but she's good company. She will absolutely tell you one crazy story after another until you've burst out laughing and even forgotten you're sick. Perks of living forever basically, she has a lot of tales to tell. And seeing Milori light up every single time is worth it.

It's also one of the few times either of them can be convinced to take a break and a day off, because fairies don't usually get sick, so when they do it's like their body is yelling "you reallyyy have to slow down". So they've learned the hard way not to ignore it.

Added bonus, Everlaya is absolutely the type to pretend not to be concerned that you're sick. The fact she is suspiciously close every time her friends so much as cough or sniffle is irrelevant. She's not concerned. She's just... ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Winter citizens. No, she's not watching the reruns of old Pixie Hollow shows with you. She's just humoring you because you look pathetic. (here's looking at you, Selena)
