My confession:
Firstly, I hate Kotoko’s songs. Vocals? AMAZING. Lyrics? Meh… their song composition… I despise. It doesn’t scream “this is the psychological state of the character” to me at all. They’re like regular pop/rock songs.
I’m also a HUGE Muu guilty truther. In fact, Muu innocent seems outrageous to me. Here are my reasons:
- Yes, she mentions Haruka and how his death has changed her. Yes, he’s impacted her. But clearly, she is so used to her ways of either being above everyone else or below everyone else (before vs. after pain) that she can’t seem to mourn his death in a way that is clearly intentionally (or non-intentionally) manipulative when depicting her feelings about it to Es in the MV. She depicts him by his color, absorbs his pain as if it’s hers, and just calls him “baby” and dangles him over Es’s head to get them to vote her innocent… it’s frankly childish, and I wish we could take the route of guilty for her.
- second of all, many people say her crime is literally just doing the same thing Rei did to her. Um… it’s not? At all? We can see from “After Pain” in the billboards that although the bullying was similar, it didn’t get to the point of trying to force her to khs. And while we know that both tried to stay on the sidelines while the other got bullied and didn’t help the other, it’s not like Rei was like Muu, who actively encouraged the bullying and laughed at it. We just knew that Rei wanted to escape the clearly toxic heirarchy of the school. Also, Rei’s attack was in self-defense. She was genuinely being attacked by Muu’s friends, and Muu had teased her about it. She felt threatened, and attacked. When Rei turned away from Muu and refused to help her out of her situation, Muu attacked. That’s not self-defense.
All in all, the situation would be much different if Muu had killed one of her actual bullies rather than Rei. Then I would understand her forgiveness more.
I do get wanting to take the safe route for the characters for the final round, but honestly no one is entertaining the idea of the amount of shit that could go down for voting them all innocent. Like… Milgram won’t end perfectly happy any way. Might as well just be honest about your opinions instead of being safe.
Sincerely, a Muu and possibly also Mikoto and Kotoko guilty truther
seeing how people didn’t read amane’s third trial voice drama even though it provides a lot of information for her as a character, confirms she’s willing to change, etc etc, i am scared for kotoko’s trial 3 because i know no one’s gonna read the voice drama despite any important info it may give
yuno here!!
It's wacky to me that half of the fandom refuses to admit that Shidou has all but admitted that he feels no guilt for murdering an actual living human being.
When confronted as a murderer, his instinct is to bring up brain-dead patients rather than THE GUY HE ACTUALLY MURDERED. He's arguably the only MILGRAM character to straight-up never consider himself a murderer for *the murder he committed*.

I really try to practice patience with trans HCs I disagree with
But why is it that the one HC I majorly dislike is nearly always paired with a gross misunderstanding of that character lmao? Is it purposeful or just projection? And then they usually act like the HC is confirmed in the text, like no it's not and it in fact goes against what the text implies. Where implies means hits you over the head with.
Anyway typing this out I realize that I don't hate the HC itself I hate the media illiteracy and gender stereotyping that usually comes with.
Between Amane haters acting like she's the devil herself and Mikoto-sys fans ignoring their scopophobia to use them like a dress up doll, I wouldn't blame Yamanaka if he hated the fans
