Send me a ship and i'll say:
who falls asleep on the couch
Both of them, but, in all honesty, itāsĀ Freddie that ends up falling asleep on their couch the most and itās due toāyou guessed it--being completely intoxicated.
Eileen hates it when she wakes up in the morningāespecially if they had had a serious fight the night before because he has been known to leave the house and not return for long periods of timeāto see him in the living room on their large couch with a massive hangover, which, unfortunately, happens a lot more than Freddie would like to admit to. Eileen also hates that she canāt stay mad at him, becauseĀ at least he made it home safe thank fucking goddessĀ and thatās whatās most important.
If he thinks heās getting off without a scolding though, then heās as dumb and naive as he looks at that moment with his drool beginning to seep into their throw pillows.Ā Why is he so beautiful andĀ why is it sheās smiling at him and unconsciously falling deeper in love with this idiot????Ā Itās not fair. Sheās supposed to be angry! Allow her at least that much!!
Itās not like Freddie wants to sleep on the couch though, but he knows from experience that Eileen wonāt allow him to come to bed if heās too far gone (unless he manages to sober up at least a little), and his chances of getting to spend the night by her side drop even more if a fight had taken place before he left to go get wasted at some local pub. So naturally the only solution to his problem that could have been avoided if he hadnāt had that drink or two or six is that he spend the night on the couch.
Sometimes during situations like this where he goes out to drink though, he comes home to find his tiny little anchor asleep on the couch already. Eileen tries so hard to stay up to see him come home, because she needs to know he came back safe and unharmed because no matter the reason Freddie left ⦠She worries about him, and she worries about him a lot.
She wakes up with a start to see a blanket laid over her and a tuft of blond hair in the kitchen cooking.
Eileen also happens to get too wrapped up in reading at times and ends up falling asleep against Freddieās shoulder while both of them are on the couch (it happens when they watch long movies too), but she looks so much like an angel that he doesnāt want to wake her despite the fact his arm is beginning to numb.
Eileen tries to beĀ mostly due to her job requiring she get up early enough to make it on time. However, somehowĀ FreddieĀ manages to beat her to it. And more often than not, he has breakfast cooking already.
The smaller of the two may go to bed much earlier than her taller counterpart so one would naturally think sheād be up first, but thatās so far from the truth that itās rather ridiculous. Though he doesnāt choose to stay up into the early morning hours, Freddie can function on low amounts of sleep. He kind of has too. Insomnia fucks a person up for sure.
Thatās why, on the rare occasion she wakes before him, she doesnāt even so much as want to leave the bed in fear that sheāll wake him. He needs the sleep, and the sight of her beautiful blond boy sleeping is something she always welcomes into her day. Itās a perfect image to wake up to, and though she tells herself she shouldnāt, she canāt help but run her pale fingers through his hair softly.
In that moment, she always feels incredibly calm; itās almost like she could die happy then and there. She feels calm and at peace and in love. And it fills her with satisfaction knowing the first thing heāll hear that morning is her voice.
Iām offended you even need to ask that.Ā Freddieās offended you even need to ask that,Ā jk.
In all serious, Freddie cooks the most because if he didnāt ⦠He might be dead by now.
Itās not that EileenĀ canāt cook, but she tries too hard when sheās cookingĀ for other people and ruins whatever dish it was she was preparing and so Freddie tries his best to take away any and all chances for her to accidentally burn their food as much as he possibly can.
He wants to save himself from the foul-tasting food and having to lie to her face because thereās no way he can tell her the truth about how terrible her cooking came out after she tried as hard as she did. Itād break her heart and hurting her feelings needlessly is that last thing he ever wants to do.Ā And the pleased look on her face as she digs into his cooking isnāt exactly something heĀ dislikes. Why would it be?
Long story short, Freddie cooks the most for these three reasons: 1) Eileenās cooking is crazy nasty like wtf, 2) he doesnāt want to die from food poisoning or something, and 3) seeing her enjoy his food is quite the wonderful sight and brings him joy, okay? Okay.
whoās in charge of the tv remote
Neither, yet at the same time both of them.Ā
Mileen is all about sharing, because sharing is caring and caring is sharing. Basically, no one in particular is in charge of the remote.
I guess Mileen is unique in that aspect? They arenāt really T.V. people to begin withāthough itās not like they donāt enjoy itāso who handles and is in charge of the remote isnāt an issue with them. It helps that these two nerds have a lot in common and so they like a lot of the same shows.
Even when there is a little disagreement about what theyāre watching, itās not enough to actually be considered a fight. Itās simply a small comment about how āthis is boring/lameā but itās left at that because whoever was sitting there first should get to at least finish what they were watching despite how much the latter of the two may hate it. And if itās truly that unbearable, it takes nothing to leave the room until itās over.
Mileen may have some rather childish arguments, but this isnāt one of them.
who takes the longest getting ready
Eileen, but not necessarily because sheās a girl, no.Ā
Eileen taking the longest has everything to do with her hair and makeup and trying to look professional for her job and nothing more.
No matter the AU, Eileen seems to always have a job where she has to look her best for one reason or another. Main!verse, where it all started, Eileen is a young boss in charge of not only a library but a slightly older man who happens to be her assistant. In high school AU, this girlās a teacher. Even in mafia!au Eileen needs to look dolled up, though her itās for a bit of a different reason. Not to look the part of a boss or someone in charge, but rather ⦠to be sexually appealing. A college student working as a stripper needs all the cash she can get.
It may not look like it, but her signature braided-look does take a little time to do. If she goes too quickly, the braids arenāt as tight as they need to be and look sloppy. Sheās already a self-conscious and small girl; the last thing she needs is to add another thing onto her list of (stupid) worries. And though she doesnāt need it, makeup helps Eileen to feel more comfortable going out in public though she still thinks sheās subpar to all the other girls out there.
Freddie tells her that every day too. Sheās the most beautiful girl heās ever met and he loves her makeup or not and bedhead or not. Sheās perfect. Always has been. If only she could see it herself and accept it, then sheād be even more powerful and strong than she is now.
Then again ⦠he wants to keep her for himself, but her confidence is much more important than his petty jealousy.
who takes up most of the bed
Why that person is none other than Michael F. Cooper.Ā
This man is a giant compared to his significant other and canāt help that he steals like 2/3 of the bed. I blame all the vegetables and milk he had as a kid. Why did he have to eat all his food all the time?
Eileen doesnāt care that he takes up so much of their bed though. In fact, she doesnāt really even notice that he does. Her being on the tinier side makes the rest of the bed a little larger than it actually is. Not that it matters much how much space she has because Freddie likes to invade it and she lets him.
Freddie is a hugger and a cuddler and a lover of P.D.A. Even when itās just them, nothing could make him happier than simply holding her because it reminds him sheāsĀ his and that she lovesĀ him. Sheās with him because she wants to be, and that thought sends him into a blissful state when he actually believes it.
Needless to say ⦠Eileen allows him to pull her close and wrap his arm around her small waist, and, in turn, she cuddles into him with a content sigh and blushing cheeks.
Oh, they have pets. And, unfortunately for Freddie, itās the worst possible pet to have: a cat.
Even worse: that cat has his name. Okay, maybe not exactly his name, but Eileen chose a variation of āMichaelā and gave it to the blasted thing.
When she first brought it home and called him by āMikeal,ā Freddie thought she lost it. First of all, why was a cat in his home? Eileen Iām allergic! And second of all,Ā why does it have my name?Ā ItāsĀ my name!
Turns out that the devil incarnate reminded her of him. She says it has to do with itās blond fur and big, bright, and beautiful eyes. It was just soĀ him that she couldnāt name him anything else; the cat had to be named after him and be brought into their home. It was all too perfect.
He couldnāt tell her to give it to a shelter. Not after that, and definitely not after the way she looked at him and even promised to do all she could to make his living experience with the animal as bearable as possible. He didnāt even have to feed it! Sheās do it all by herself so please, Freddie, oh please! See? He likes you already!! We have to keep him now!!!
And so he relunctanly gave in. Sheās lucky sheās cute.
