“Raced” a mile after 7 hours of bar prep. Technically this was a double run day but my second run was only a mile! My most recent PR since high school when I could run sub 6 is like a 7:30ish!! Didn’t quite get there this time but it was 90 degrees!
I ran my fastest mile today!
I’ve never been able to run a full mile without walking, but following some advice I found online for running your fastest mile, I clocked in at 10:43 for the Mile Benchmark Challenge at my gym today. As someone with asthma, who walked half of my last mile benchmark, I can really see how much I’ve improved my fitness, even if it doesn’t always feel like it!
I’m hella proud of me, and want to tell the world!
Y'all I just a ran a mile
AND I DIDN'T STOP. Was it fast? Not at all. But I have never ran a mile without stopping before, not even in high school when you had to do those stupid mile tests.
I ran a 13 minute mile. I'm going to run at least 3 times a week. By November 1st, my goal is to bring my mile time down to 11 minutes.

5 weeks ago, was running a 13:30 mile. Today, 10:58 mile. Suck it, treadmill
4/24/17 - WOD
Today's workout was allllllll running. The weather's getting nice so I had a feeling this would be coming. After warm ups and stretching out, we ran a mile with max effort. I finished in 10:59, which is 0:57 seconds shorter than last time. Yay! For the WOD we teamed up and did relay running. Each partner did: - 200 Meter - 400 meter - 800 meter - 400 meter - 200 meter It took me and my parter 26:57 to finish all our running. It was long, but we did it!
New PR!!! 😍
What’s great is this was an outside run! I also felt really good. Like.. I wasn’t about to fall over gasping for air when I hit a mile. Seems like the treadmill HIIT sprints I’ve been doing at least once a week are really helping with my time.
Thanks to my sister for taking a clip of me running, haha.
