In the Eyes of a Little Sister
Madara Mikejima
Warning: mention of sickness and disability
Notes: this is just character study, I might be wrong in how Madara's younger sister views him or in how Madara actually is - this is just the way I see him and his relationship with his sister right now so it's subject to change
Unedited
Her lungs burned. When she was really young, they didn't. At the time, she could run about without any care. Now, walking has become one of the hardest parts of her day. In fact, some days she couldn't walk at all.
It was beyond irritating. Her inability to be independent was infuriating, yeah, but there was one thing far more aggravating.
Her older brother. Madara Mikejima. Mikejima Madara. Did it really matter what she called him? Seeing his face had been a thing of the past, the former Mikejima heir having been forced to travel the world as punishment.
With the collapse of the Shinkai cult, she saw no point but their parents, the ones betrayed, thought otherwise.
In her opinion, their reaction was granted. She understood what it felt like to be betrayed by Madara, too.
But staring at the screen from her room, the sounds of machinery beeping and oxygen traveling to her lungs that barely functioned, sitting in a wheelchair when there should've been a desk chair, she grits her teeth.
Madara was a horrible, horrible man. Always making the biggest moves for the smallest reasons. Always saying the worst things with the best intentions. Always painting himself to be the bad guy when, really, he wasn't even close.
Irritating, infuriating, and aggravating rolled into one.
She knew he didn't want to be the bad guy, but she also knew that the only way he could do what he wanted was to act like one. Then, at that point, there would be nothing else but to accept his villainous role wholeheartedly.
If Madara Mikejima believed himself to be a villain, then surely he wouldn't be hurt when others called him that.
