If it is real then it makes absolute sense that it’s a) a year out, and b) he can’t say anything about it. Publishing companies have non-disclosures. Editing and revisions, especially for a first time author, take a lot of time. If he’s literally in the first draft stages of writing it now (and that’s what he means by it’s not done yet) then I’m sure he is very much bound by an NDA. 

But there’s also just as much chance that it’s a mis-attributed listing. It’s happened before! They have common names, and that it’s somewhere like GoodReads tells me that mis-attribution is more likely.

AHHHHH ok i don't wanna jinx it by giving a bunch of details only to later be like "actually i can't go to mexico do this project for reasons out of my control" but here are the facts

i have gotten the green light on a writing project that i am really excited to work on

the project is professional!!!!!!! as in there's like, money and connections and junk involved!!!!! and i will be working with amazing people that i was really excited to connect with

i owe @alittledizzy like... my firstborn or something for reaching out with this opportunity? i mean idk if she'll want my firstborn bc they'll probably be a little asshole just like me but we can come up with a suitable exchange i think
