So for Christmas Karu got the Tyranny of Dragons book, and what we didn’t realize was there was concept art at the back of the book. Including details on the clothing the Cult of the Dragon wear and all those fun little bits. How the style & color shows ranking. Then it got me wanting to draw how Aurixel looked before the start of the campaign.
You know, before he got branded by Bahamut and realized that *MAYBE* the Cult isn’t good and is instead possibly fucked up. Then ran away leaving everything behind and is kinda in the middle of a mental breakdown, questioning everything about who & what he is. Fun times.
It was weird drawing him so... put together and confident? Like his tidy hair, clothing that indicates strength and authority, the closest I’ve ever drawn to him *smiling*! It’s weird, but fun to see the contrast to the wreak he currently is in game.
Hopefully he can at least build back up the confidence and strength, without being part of an evil cult. This hair though? Yeah it can stay in the past.
A Campaign Setting for D&D 5E by Hikaru
I've been working on this for about a month now, and I think we have enough content to announce it now! Myself and a core group of good friends are working on building a Campaign Setting based in the world of Midgardia, the world I created back in college and whose name our tabletop group has taken for it's own.
This is a BIG dream of mine, I've always had a vision of sharing Midgardia as an RP setting for everyone to enjoy, and while I never imagined this would be the way it'd happen, I am HYPED for it!!
For the next month and a half (till the end of August) the World Anvil page for Midgardia, with all it's articles and lore, will be available to be viewed by the general public. You'll be able to see what we've built so far, what homebrew is happening and get a taste of what the Midgardia setting looks like!
After August is over, we'll be going dark... for most people. HOWEVER, I want people to be able to give feedback and keep tabs on the content, so I will be giving subscriber access to the World of Midgardia World Anvil page to everyone in the "Epic Fans" category and upwards!
Why $15 and up instead of $5 and up? Well... I am limited in subscriber count on the site by backing World Anvil’s Patreon. So I'll need the extra income to pay to support any increase in subscriber costs on my end.
However, the RP campaign logs will always remain open to the public and any games we play as voiced sessions over Roll20 will be available to Loving Fans and above via the Secret Archives!
I plan to also release here and there bits of content like NPC info sheets and homebrew magical items and backgrounds to lower tiers and/or public to keep content flowing and ever increasing on the Patreon.
Made some quick, simple business cards to hand out at cons for our little tabletop twitch community. Turns out some people are actually interested in these things IRL and so we felt having a card to give out so they could find us online would be beneficial. Much fancier and appealing than writing our hashtag/urls on a pamphlet and less forgettable =P
Hopefully by the time this batch runs out we have enough Youtube subscribers to get... a proper URL for our channel XD
This feels like Step 1 in our plan to hopefully open an artist alley booth in the near future too, we need to work on making some print-worthy art first tho =P
So recently in Chain of Awakening, Tika and the rest of the group went to the hidden Rito village. Partially to make sure it was still safe, and also because it’s where the Air Temple was. With returning home Tika was able to get some new clothing (the only place she could actually get proper Rito cloths) so that meant drawing what they looked like.
The team has just left the village now and is heading to the coastal zora city. Too bad the area between the two locations is controlled by an Lynel known as ‘The Lightning General’. Yeah... what could *possibly* go wrong?

So in Madness, Elrune is taking a break from the team. Her faction gave her a job to do in Skullport. But she couldn’t exactly leave Ometra alone, so she requested a replacement babysitter to take over for her. Enter Remei.
A relatively sweet gal, an arcane domain cleric of Mystra, and last session it was revealed to the party that she’s an Aasimar. Though they already had some suspicions that she wasn’t just a human cause of her freaky eyes.
Unfortunately for Remei, so far this job hasn’t been anywhere close to what she expected. Considering her first fight with the team left her alone to front line fight three shambling mounds while the others kept in the air through flying & magic.
Remei nearly died.
Twice.
So yeah. Rough start and she doesn’t trust ANYONE in this team. We’ll see how things go one moving forward. XP
Not a big pic this time, but hey this also gives me the chance to mention another new campaign I’m a part of. Karu recently started a Tyranny of Dragons game, and it was the PERFECT story to properly play Aurixel.
A fire genasi who at a young age was recruited into the Cult of the Dragon thanks to a strong talent for magic. Only recently he ran away, after being left with an unhealing wound from touching a blessed item of Bahamut. Turns out, you question what you’re doing with your life after a god of good basically curses you.
So far I’ve been enjoying the heck outta this game, and it’s interesting playing a character that is *technically* evil. Though also really fucking unsure of himself right now.
A fun little ‘draw the squad’ thing that I did of Elrune & Ometra from our Dungeon of the Mad Mage game. Unfortunately for Elrune she’d become Ometra’s baby sitter because her faction was like, ‘Hey this new recruit you brought in is having doomsday dreams about Waterdeep and stopping it from happening is in the Undermountian. Go with him and make sure he doesn’t die until he finds this fix.’
...
Elrune was *so happy* with this.
