Abnormal Fibrous Dysplasia Blocking Breathing (Nose blockage) This young boy presented with a midfacial deformity that was straddling the nasal region and had been diagnosed as fibrous dysplasia. There was also blockage of his nose, resulting in difficulty breathing. This is a disorder of the bone where fibrous tissue develops in place of normal bone. Treatment planning was explained to his parents and they consented to surgery. The excess fibrous tissue was removed through an intraoral approach with a chisel and a burr until there was reestablishment of normal facial contour. There was no scar formation as the lesion had been approached intraorally. His breathing issues were also completely resolved by the surgery. They were very happy with the results of the surgery and expressed their gratitude before discharge from the hospital. 📞 Phone: +91 44 4294 7222 📬 Email: [email protected] 🌍 Website: www.smbalaji.com 📍 Location: Chennai, India #noseblockage #fibrousdysplasia #midfacialdeformity #midface #drsmbalaji #smbalaji #balajidental #maxillofacialsurgeon #maxillofacialsurgery #india #chennai #tamilnadu (at Balaji Dental and Craniofacial Hospital) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBqIGHtF9p3/?igshid=1vzhrw6mv33m3
