There is actually a perfectly reasonable explanation for why I am drawing so much with ms paint lol:

1) I like the low pressure it promotes in my mind. I have a love-hate mostly hate relationship with drawing and that’s why I rarely do it-- so ms paint sort of makes that easier to endure lol, commitment wise.

2) my tablet is actually being rejected by my laptop and I’ve tried everything to get it to work again but hoe well we live in a society. If I don’t have pressure sensitivity or control of my lines... wouldn’t it make sense to just use ms paint anyways? lol. I do still have my cintiq but the emotional impact of setting that monster up deals permanent psychic damage and, again, subconsciously feeds into my perfectionist delusions... so the pressure to draw something nice kills all motivation to draw lol. 

What I’m saying is: be glad I am even drawing. Because there will hit a point where I get really good at ms paint and suddenly my productivity will drop because the cycle of high stakes art will have caught up to me. You know, that’s originally why I switched from Paint tool SAI to Krita way back when... SAI used to have a reputation for really beautiful digital art. I eventually realized I didn’t want to match that pressure and so I switched to Krita because it was free and kind of janky at the time. The learning curve was fun, it gave me something to want to get better at that wasn’t about my art directly. Anyways we’re at that point again in the cycle and I’ve jumped around between MyPaint, Clip Studio, Drawpile, etc... But ms paint is kind of the ultimate fuck-you to digital art.
