Summary: It was supposed to be a quick hardware store run to replenish supplies. What Dean didn't count on was for Cas to run into a potential love interest in the form of another man. Through the course of Cas' dating, and a few hunts, Dean comes to many realizations. Canon divergent up to S11.

READ → this one is so freaking good, i absolutely loved everything about this one from the writing to the angst to the fact both dean and cas are morons just like in canon. absolutely beautiful and so enjoyable

Summary: Purgatory is nothing, a swirling void of darkness, danger and death. When Dean closes his eyes, exhausted from the never ending struggle to stay alive with an angel who has checked out, he is viscerally aware of Castiel beside him, staring aimlessly into the night that never ends. But when he opens his eyes to sunlight pouring in through a window, a soft bed under him, a life he doesn’t remember with a family he shouldn’t have, and memories of Purgatory clawing at his mind, he begins to wonder just how much more life will try and take from him. Summary: When Castiel brought Dean up from Hell, he lost his grace in the process and fell to Earth. Still retaining some of his angelic qualities, demons went on the hunt for him. He was saved by the Winchester brothers, who quickly learn his fall may have not have been an accident.
