"No way you're doing fuckin' homework right now, tell me that isn't homework" Ray says with this amused smile flicking his hand at you, you were sat around the couches at the skate shop. In your defense, it was the only place a walkable distance from your home that had actually hired you. You weren't particularly friends with this group any time before you got hired

Now you were a slight fixture, you just raise your eyebrows "When else would I do it?" and Fourth Grade shrugs, Ray hums "I do my homework at home" and Fuckshit shakes his head "She's study-us, man" and you look over at him with a raised eyebrow because you'd never in all your years of life heard studious pronounced so completely wrong, you almost snorted

"Studious" Ray looked over at Fuckshit before laughing "This guy said study-us! Fuck!" He's laughing decently hard, Stevie forcing a little laugh because he knew he would've made that same mistake while Ruben laughs obnoxiously. Fuckshit stays calm for once despite probably being the most obnoxious of the group

"I've only ever read the word" He says and Ray turns to him with faked shock "You can read?" and Fuckshit goes to give him a punch on the ribs while you give a little laugh and go back to reading while Fuckshit yells about god knows what to the group and Ray gets up to help out customers or stand at the register while he listens to whatever Fuckshit yabbers on about.

You only really tuned back into the world when it was your shift, if you told yourself maybe a month ago that you genuinely hang around the shop before your shift you would've looked back at yourself like you were absolutely mental. Like you're willingly hanging out with this group of idiots? Did you get a raise or something?

You were on closing tonight "Mom wants me home" Stevie says with this nervous air, even if he knew everyone would shrug and tell him 'cool, bye' and that would be that. Ray hums "I do my homework at home so I gotta run too" and eventually everyone was gone, except you. You and who you may ask, you and Fuckshit

You looked back at him "You don't have anywhere to be?" You asked amused and he shrugged a little "Nah it's cool" He says with a passive hand wave trying to come off as chill and cool, as much as someone obnoxious as him could come off really. Man he thought you were dope, he was choking already

You wander around now, checking stock.. or whatever people who worked at skate shops actually did before closing, Fuckshit wandering around after you similar to a lost dog. He looks back at you with a hum "We ever hungout just us?" He squints a little and you shrug "Once or twice maybe, never for long"

"No shit?" He said with his eyebrows raised "We've got to!" He shrugged awkwardly and you smiled, he always did all the smooth pickup lines. Was way too honest about whoever he was talking to and how badly they just had to hookup and things like that while somehow remaining somewhat liked and even charming, but right now he was like a stuttering twelve year old

"We could go to the movies, somethin' nice" He said pursing his lips and looking back at you for an opinion, fidgeting with the zip on his hoodie and looking back away. You grin and him "Classy" You commented as you shoved some things random places (Sorry unemployed final boss doesn't know how to describe work)

"You, me, popcorn, medium Coke" He says with a shrug and you laugh a little "Do you have the money to take me out to the movies?" and Fuckshit grins "Ray loans me the money, I work here for like an hour and I'm sweet" He says simply and you shake your head "I wish it worked like that!"
