this is the first time i've drawn manzana (former fursona, current fursona is orion [the dog 'orion' not the person 'orion' (person is me)] in months, didn't have to pull up the reference sheet for this one, i've still got her ingrained in my memory...
Watercolor and pen
Why is Thorin so skinny? He's STARVING he has been lost for SO LONG, BILBO.
I was cleaning and I dug up my old sketchbooks circa 2019-2020 and...oh my God 😂😭

I’m slowly getting back into art after more than a decade away from it... and this is only my third ever drawing with alcohol markers. Also my first time drawing Zoro, and my first time attempting a pop art / vector style like this. So… lots of firsts!
The concept and composition aren’t mine: I used an existing vector artwork as reference (original art here and down below) and tried to reinterpret it using traditional materials (mostly budget supplies) to see how sharp digital color blocks could translate on paper.
Also... I don’t know why the original artist gave Zoro a goatee (???) but listen, I’m a coward and not experienced enough to go rogue so I just went with the vision 😅
I’m still very much a beginner, so if you have any constructive feedback or tips, they’re more than welcome 💛
