New micro-genre just dropped
Genregender Pride Flag
Genregender: when your gender is related to certain genre(s) of writing in some way. Also an umbrella for any genric gender identity, such as fantagender and scifigender, literary subgender examples.
Similar to bookgender, it stands more for literature’s genres than music, film/television/movie and video game genres, since there are already terms for them, such as moviegender, showgender, musigender and gamegender.
Not to be confused with gendergender. ~ap

I’m browsing
the book “the Microgenre”, and let me post a quick pic of the index table:
That last one. It does for example explain tag-wranglers and takes up “coffeshop AU” as an actual thing. I almost did a b99 “Vindication!” yell.
Shatter
Shatter is a style of glitch music that borrows heavily from riddim and brostep
Shatter is almost never in (straight) 4/4, Opting instead for odd time or polymeter.
In spite of this, shatter is quite rhythmic, lacking any real melody or harmony in favor of complex rhythms that loop.
Shatter is so called because the drops often sound like the song itself is being broken or torn apart.
Shatters drops tend to be a bit longer than standard dubstep drops, and only happen once per song, usually towards the end.
Shatter album covers are fairly abstract, using glitch art and datamoshed images
Shatter drums are usually pretty thin, until the drop, where they become incredibly heavy
Song titled are incredibly varied, usually attempting to describe the sound of the song
Peacewave
A very stripped back style of ambient/drone
often uses asmr inducing sounds
features pure sine waves as leads
Uses field recordings of protests and nature, often chopped or gated
uses solid colors for album covers
Album titles are nonsensical, but evoke calming imagery
