That MicroBio Exam
You show up haggard to your exam room. Your classmates and you are marched in the exam room as a quiet, nervous, singular filed line. You spy microscopes set up per lab table. You have spent a week meticulously studying every microbe thrown at you. YOU GOT THIS.
So you head to your first microscrope with a false sense of security. Your future self laughs at your foolish idealism.
You wonder if there is anything there.
You stand there dumbly wondering wtf you should do.
You stand there dumbly wondering what you should write on your paper but time just keeps passing. You’re out of time.
You have no choice to move on, guess, and stroke your failing ego. It’s okay, you can still answer the other ones.
You realize you had no chance since the beginning.
Somehow, you managed to scrape by and pass the class anyway. You’re not sure how but you’re grateful. You still hold some resentment on those unfocused microscopes.
Ps. Yes, those are real microbe slides I remember taking pics of to stare at and hope something clicks in my mind.
