So Mickey 17 is a movie based on the book Mickey 7. I read the book, just got done watching the movie. Creative liberties were taken (there were no sex scenes in the book if I recall correctly). I can't say for certain if I think the movie was bad, but it *was* different. Marshall's character seemed like a strange Trump allegory, which I wasn't sure fit that well. They also introduced another love interest which was strange and changed the dynamic between two other characters.
