Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines was released on July 2, 2003. It was the first film in the franchise not to be co-written or directed by creator James Cameron. The film took place 10 years after the events of Terminator 2 in 2004 and now 23-year-old John Connor (Nick Stahl taking over the role from Edward Furlong) was living off the grid and had to face a new cyborg assassin from the future designated T-X/Terminatrix (Kristanna Loken) and with the help of a T-850 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) prevent The Rise of the Machines. Schwarzenegger was paid a record fee at the time to return for the 3rd film that was pay or play deal plus perks. Earl Boen was the only other returning actor from the franchise reprising his role as Dr Peter Silberman. ("Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines", Sci-Fi Movie Event)

Another excerpt:
OGD: How should I play this? JC: Look. You're here. She's there. You see? (Followed by a long, intense look, which was the way Cassavetes often ended this sort of explanation.) OGD: Well, yeah, John, but... JC: No, no, no. Don't! Don't! Just. You know? (Followed by another deep, soulful look)
