Film Recommendation: "Momo", the new film adaptation from 2025, after the timeless novel by Michael Ende (pun intended). If you don't know the story, I can also recommend the original novel very much. Not a summary, not a review, just a few thoughts: They made a few changes which very much fit the Zeitgeist imho. The Grey Corporation steals time from people - as does capitalism, and the social commentary about this may be a bit "in your face", but I found it appropriate. Momo's friend Gino gets seduced by the promises of fame as an influencer. And there are cute looking AI bots which very much reminded me of real AI "companions" and how some people fall in love with those or call them their friends. Which is really horrible.

Einfach die Parallele zwischen dann gibt es zur eins (von Borchert, kennt man manchmal auch als 'sag nein') und der Tatsache, dass Momo nie kämpft, sie sagt Nein. Nein zu den Puppen, Nein dazu, sich bestechen zu lassen, nein dazu, einen Freund für die anderen auszustechen.
