When Megatron said "Pax would have loved how are you work" did he wanted to have sparklings with him before the war happened?
I think at one point in their past relationship! I'm also gonna take this as a chance to talk about Optimus and Megatron's relationship in this au. Because its FUN (for me and my friends because were all nuts for these fictional robots).
I tend not to do much Megop & MegPax because there's already so much exploration/art of the ships already. i think other artists have a better grasp than I do, I do like/adore the existing art, other content creators AUs and like to make funny giggles about it!
My own Bias aside, their relationship is baked into this au with love and care, I do think Megatronus and Orion pax before everything fell apart were at a point of living together, working on difficult problems and of course talking about future sparkling's. heck maybe they even had Hypothetical names they spent hours on, since both were very academic.
An this is where My AU takes over a bit more, You see Mic-Checks helm i never intended to be based on Megatron's it sorta just happen? MC's original design was based on a green Skota car, her helm design/color comes from the shape of the hood, but its became more Megatron like as I started watching prime again. Later I added the finials because I LOVED seeing the art of Optimus' finial flicks and it made me think 'MC is the type to wear her heart on her sleeve' just like this'.
So Yea..! Megatron's adoration and parental feelings do not just come from the fact he set things in motion for her creation to be possible. he literally sees her as a representation of what he and Orion pax could have had. She's a flyer, she has a sharp helm and her finials feed into a delusion he has during bad moments that she is their baby.
I will not Lie, MC gives him and MANY OTHERS, baby fever.
The love for MC is real though! MC works hard (really she just runs data pads around to where ever Soundwave tells her to go) because she can sense parental affection from Megatron.
