I know I'm crazy, but does stories 2 feel like its narrative was written for an entirely new cast, but then had the returning 1 characters slapped onto it to make the game a sequel? Does anyone else get this vibe??

I just realized that I've been playing all three stories games like i'm doing the professor oak challenge.
For those who don't know, in the pokemon community there's a challenge that tasks you to capture every single pokemon obtainable before each gym.
And I've been doing that exact same thing, except obtaining every monster available in a given area before moving on to the next. The only exception to this so far has been namielle in stories 3.
Is this admittedly a little tedious? Yes, especially in the first and second games where making a monster retreat requires you to jump through at least three hoops, but it's how i like to play.

History tends to repeat itself and Princess Wisteria reflects on her ancestor for 200 years ago, a Rathalos rider as well. It’s weird to share a name and face with someone that pre-dates you, as well as having a descendent of her ancestor’s loyal Pukei Pukei. She can only hope her life will be quieter than the raging adventures of her ancestor.
Wisteria is a descendant of my MHS2 character of the same name but is NOT a reincarnation. Watch as the next time skip game has her own descendants in it also named Wisteria. I like the aesthetic.
