You guessed it was your fault that you were currently arguing with Dabi. All you wanted was to finish up Bridgerton when he decided to come over. At first, you assumed he wouldn't be as invested as you were, and that his presence wouldn't fuck up the Feng shui. He had lazily draped an arm around your shoulders while dotting questions and comments like, "Why are they always at a dance?" and "I thought the dresses would be more poofy." Eventually, the scene you had been waiting for happened when the couple finally had sex. You were vying for it since you first predicted their inevitable confessions mere minutes into the first episode. So, of course, you were silently enraptured in the throws of passion when Dabi teased you.

"Why so quiet? See something you like?"

You shifted in discomfort.

"I wouldn't know. It took them ages to get here,"

"Impatient," His fingers began playing at your arm," You're really into this, huh?"

"And you're taking me out of it,"

He chuckled, "To think you wanted my company when you invited me over,"

"I let you in. That is not the same,"

"Ouch. I'll stop cockblocking you then,"

The sex scene (and the glorious silence from the two of you) lasted until the climax. Without a second thought, you sighed.

"Must be nice,"

Dabi let out a bitter cough, redirecting your attention to a biting side eye.

You blinked. "What?"

"Must be nice, eh? I'm right here,"

You straightened, snatching the remote and lowered the volume before facing him head on.

"Indeed you are," You both faced off with matching smug grins before you made a move to quell the upcoming battle of wits," Maybe we can watch something else,"

He scoffed," Triggered much? Or you just scared you'll like it,"

"Scared I'll like what? Not having an orgasm?" You gracefully belittled.

"Have you not had an orgasm before?"

"I've cum before, Dabi. I have a left hand,"

He squinted at you, "Is that it?"

You had retort. Had one. Nothing but a puff of hot air left your burning cheeks. You didn't like the way he regarded you. You'd rather him feisty and hungry for a petty victory. Instead, you got this color of concern across his face. He wasn't teasing you anymore. He was prying silently. It almost made it worse.

Dabi leaned back, "Look, I didn't... I'm sorry for pissing you off,"

"I'm not pissed!" You yelled. Dabi seemed unconvinced at your outburst, so you composed yourself enough to continue.

"I'm just embarrassed. Cause it seems so easy for everybody else to get off, but I haven't yet. I have tried everything to get there when I'm with someone. And the last thing I need is history repeating itself with you. I really like you, Dabi. And I don't want you to spend hours trying to-"

A subtle palm against your cheek silenced your worrying. He waited for you to look at him, something you found endearingly tedious. You eventually let your gaze trail onto his face. It was so nice to see Dabi like this. It seemed he was made of something soft and malleable, only reacting when you acted. You felt your lids slide closed, anticipating the warmth of his lips on yours. His touch wasn't rough by any means, but it was assertive. From his kiss alone, he was trying to get you ready for what he wanted to say to you. He parted only a hairs width away, willing your eyes to flutter shut with the timbre of his voice.

"You don't have to hurry up and rush it. Sure, other people may claim it just takes this or that, but one thing is for certain: it takes somebody willing to get to know you. And whenever you're ready, should you feel you trust me, I will fuck you so good you won't even have time to compare this to anything else,"

He sealed his vulgar promise with a burning kiss before laying back on the couch. You were swimming in a daze while Dabi searched for the remote, nearly flinching at the sight on the TV.
