My sweet little olive tree and meyer lemon tree on the #BalconyGarden. Previously I lived in a studio apartment off of Melrose and La Brea with east facing windows and another building ten feet away from these windows. I got about 1 to 2 hours of indirect sunshine in my windows and had a small aloe vera plant that thrived there. When I met Aaron, he made me an indoor planter box for my studio apartment, and I tried to grow things there despite the tiny amount of sunshine. Then we decided to move in together and found our apartment in Glendale. I bought the meyer lemon tree when we first moved into this apartment with sun filled balconies. I was so excited to have space for a container garden, and I knew I wanted these sweeter and smoother lemons in my life. The olive tree was a lovely gift from Aaron's dad Chris. The aparment and balcony gardens have grown, and we now have over 80 plants indoors and on our balconies.
