I haven't been playing digimon time stranger for a bit since I got distracted by ffxiv (it's so nice to be able to play that without my ps4 sounding like it's dying) but I'm back to playing time stranger! And I met Merukimon! And wow! They kept the same voice actor from Data Squad!! Before I met him, I was thinking it would be fun if they had the same va, but I wasn't really expecting that since it's been so long. But it's so nice that they did!! Also I'm really surprised that I actually immediately recognized his voice since it's been awhile. Also this is apparently the va also voices Gaius van Baelsar and now I kind of want something to go wrong to make Merukimon say "Such devastation... This was not my intention..."
Getting this guy's mask to not look goofy in perspective is a Struggle. I'm rolling around an idea of an oc-merukimon, dithering on if he can remove his mask, so sketched an idea of what he might look like underneath. Gotta make my digis look some flavor of inhuman, even without their iconic armor.
He gets to have the oh-so-original placeholder name of Merc, for now, as that's the nickname I gave my merukimon in time stranger. Watch it stick forever, as temporary-names are wont to do.
