Despite wanting to keep his distance from the man who had triggered him last Mercversary, Sterling decided to start with Mason on his path of destruction.
To ensure that it would all be done by lunch time, Sterling had called first thing in the morning, and ended up having to call several places to get it done. He paid for it, of course. The point of this was to be a harmless prank, and though he knew Mason could afford it he wasn't about to do anything that could be seen as destructive or cruel. That's not what this was about.
So around lunch time, when Mason got called into the front Lobby of the base to pick up a "rather large delivery" he was sure the last thing the man would expect to see were several pizza delivery men loading what looked like 100 pizza boxes into the building. No name was given and each pizza place was instructed not to reveal who had ordered the pizzas. Now, this was SHIELD. It would be easy for Mason to extract information from them. That wasn't the game he hoped Mason would play however. If he did, however, he would discover only the letter E as his pizza provider. Mason would know exactly who that meant.
The toppings and crusts varied, appealing to a wide variety of agents within the base. Veggie pizzas, gluten free crusts, meat lovers, white sauce, the list was endless. He knew Mason was not going to be the one eating them anyway. Might as well feed the entire building through him.
Happy Mercversary, Mason Miller.
