To me, and this is a little hard to explain, Meowrick is a joke that is a bit too eager to not be taken seriously? Like it feels a little too much like it's standing there nudging you in the ribs and going "ha ha ha this is a silly joke ha ha ha isn't this stupid? ha ha ha" and to me that feels less like leaning in to the joke and more like being embarrassed of itself. Catboy Yorick is a strong concept, and if this skin had been brick shithouse Yorick Mori in full adorable anime catboy gear, with ears and a tail and whiskers, it would have been a lot funnier to me, and also unironically it would have been kinda cool. Meowrick is fine, but never takes its concept beyond being a disposable joke skin.
