Someone who interfaces with the world in that way can have their voice heard 720 times an hour, and the less someone has going on in their life, by which I mean the kind of proactive and time-consuming experiences online or off that give depth to people’s interactions with the world, the more likely that they're spending that time sending thousands of bad takes into the world in the space of an evening, through reactive comments and other engagements. Meanwhile someone who makes thoughtful comments is probably watching the whole video, spending time considering their feedback, maybe doing some research over the next few days, and they might only make one or two comments a day, or even one or two comments a year.

The internet is not a democracy, The internet is not one person one vote, and the parts of the internet that have some pretend semblance of democratic feedback, like voting things up and down, or engagement metrics, are often worse than random. The people who judge quickly, or who get distracted and pulled around by whatever thing finds them next, over and over, to the algorithms and outcomes those people are worth thousands of times more votes.
