mitsuri starter for @mementofloreo's giyuu
"I'm sorry, my family must seem like a lot," she said, five siblings, both her parents. She might be the only member of the Demon Slayer or ... at this point former member of the Demon Slayer Corps that had all her family intact. That hadn't joined the Corps because she needed to avenge a family member.
Well she supposed there was Kyojuro who had been born into the profession and lost his mother through natural causes.
The garden at her family estate was lovely and she was glad she could show him where she had grown up. She set a tea tray down, for all her exuberance Mitsuri was nothing if not graceful. She poured a cup, first for him, and then herself, before she sat down alongside of him.
"But they are fortunately all very kind. They're happy to have you here, we can stay for as long as we want," she said. She had been putting off asking him if he was going to leave her here, leave her with her family now that the work was done.
They'd been with each other since the end of the Corps, Mitsuri finding some sense of purpose after all the loss in helping Giyuu and sticking alongside him. Traveling to visit the Kamado siblings, and Tenzen, but now they were here and she wasn't sure if he meant to leave her or not. So she hadn't asked. Not yet. She couldn't bear it if the answer was yes.
"I still have to show you the bees I keep! The honey cake here has honey from the hive," she said, gesturing to the tray laden with snacks and tea. "And there's my rabbits. Which my father thinks are a waste of space, since I only keep them as pets," she said. "But they're too cute, and I think it's okay to just keep them as pets," she said, rambling on. "Though some rabbits you can keep for wool, so maybe that would have been more practical."
