The lover’s muse is Melusina, a mermaid figure symbolising the feminine anti-rational attitude, the watery element dissolving all the weapons of war. Melusina, the shape-shifter sings of the possibilities of surrealist love as nonrestrictive, non-belligerent, endlessly transformative of both lover and beloved.
